S&R Performance - Technology Day - Pictures
Today's S&R Performance Technology Day was an overwhelming success. 40 to 50 cars full of people drove to S&R Performance from Tampa, St. Petersburg, Sarasota, Bradenton, Orlando, and Miami.
Thanks go to Bobby and S&R Performance for hosting the Technology Day and providing lunch for everyone in attendance. Special thanks go to Bobby's wife for making home made brownies... They were yummy!
Also, thanks to Jared Ainsworth for flying in from UpRev headquarters in Austin, Texas. Jared gave a lot of special insight into the factory ECU, how it stores data, and how UpRev programs Osiris to take advantage of those facts and use them to store and switch between multiple maps in real time. Jared also shared his insight on the new Pro Tuner version of Osiris for the HR engine (it's released) and the VHR G37 and 370Z engine.
As you can see, we had a super turnout...
It was nice to see Mike again... Mike and a friend drove all the way up from Miami... Here he's talking to Ian, who drove over from Orlando...
Mike had some of his hand made engine parts open for display... and also one of his custom plenums.
Lots of nice cars...
I'm not exactly sure what's going on here... Mr. Palmer spreading some Zen among the group, maybe? Nice 350...
It was nice to finally meet one of my long time 'Net friends, Chipmunk. He drove up from Naples with his girlfriend for the S&R Technology Day.
More nice G's and Z's...
It was nice to meet Veronica... Her Caribean Blue G35 was looking good... Thanks for driving over from Orlando for the meet.
Nice that Daniel showed up for the meet. His G was looking sharp as usual...
Jared didn't get much of a chance to enjoy his Florida vacation... People were always popping up with Cipher data logs... dyno charts and all kinds of questions... Jared was very gracious and took the time to talk to everyone and help them with their questions.
Chad drove his beautiful G37... One of the nicest G37's in the area...
Now, on to the best part of the day... Bobby, Bryan (S&R's Tuner), and Jared spoke on all aspects of tuning and performance G35's, G37's, 350Z's, 370Z's, HR's, VHR's, and VQ engines in general. They spoke for several hours and answered questions for as long a people raised their hands to ask them. Very good information!
As you can see we had more people show up than would fit inside the S&R Performance front offices... more than would fit in the open area of the rear shop... Bobby made an instant decision and popped a whiteboard up in the back of his pickup truck... we were off.
I tried to get a shot of everyone, but it was impossible... there were just too many people.
Jared explained how Osiris stores and changes multiple ECU maps in real time.
Here, Jared diagrammed something very interesting off the top of his head... putting his Electronic Engineering degree to good use..
S&R Performance and UpRev joined forces and raffled off a complete Osiris Pro Tune to all in attendance. Here, the lucky winner starts to get his tune.
Bobby consults with Bryan and Jared (both inside the car) about the tune.
Talk about instant results! If you add two-step launch control, you have to try it out, right?
So, was he happy with his new Osiris Pro Tune? What does it look like?
What a fun day... Thanks to S&R Performance for hosting the event and also to Jared for flying in and sharing his knowledge with us.
If anyone else has pictures from the S&R Performance day, feel free to post them in this thread.

I picked 249 in the RevUp dyno pool and I think it turned out to be 253 or close to that. I didn't pay much attention after I found out I didn't win... sorry.
The HR improved by a couple of horsepower, and they really flattened out the torque curve. I don't remember the exact numbers. Maybe the guy will post his dyno chart. Jared said that the HR engines were tuned much better than the DE engines are. I believe the only mod this guy had was exhaust.
