Yup, everybody will be driving around yellow cars soon enough. If you consider moving to Charlotte please make sure you check out the area you are looking at before moving in. I think a lot of people jump at the lower priced houses/apartments in the area only to find out that cost comes with a fear for the safety of yourself and your property.

cmpd.org has a few links that will give you an idea of where the crime is. I love the city...but as it gets bigger so does the crime problem. There are plenty of Z's in the area too.

Not to mention that Raleigh is the #1 place according to Forbes magazine....again. Almost 7 years straight.

Thanks again for all the responses, it has helped out a lot. I found a few apartments that are very well priced and planning on a road trip this summer to check out the areas first hand.
