yeah ive talked to them over the phone a couple times and they seem like good people. ive only taken my car around the block and already have a hand full of complements. Cant wait for it to be 100%. Taywan, as far as i know its a year long contract, could end up being 6 months though. Either way i will be back in town in about 6 months or so. i cant wait to get over there, i will have everything paid for and caught up in about 3 months. i would of went to greer dragstrip if i would of known about it. oh well, there is always next time.

I'm still working on the car, but she's drivable. Depending on how motivated I am tonight, I might make it out to Chiefs tonight after a quick trip to the gym. The car is filthy and the nitrous setup is just sort of wedged in the car right now (not installed) and no cage yet, but I'll see if I can make it. It sounded like Taywan is going to be out there - any other Greenville folks going out tonight?

I have also attached a flyer to this note with the show details. This is another great excuse to get your cars prepped for the Spring Show season.
Enjoy and see you at the next Cars & Coffee of the Upstate on April 28.

for future reference, where's a good place, price and quality, to get body parts painted at, preferably somewhere inbetween columbia and florence area? purchased a new bumper waiting for me back at home, and just want to get a good idea of where to stay away from as far as body shops go.

I totally forgot about it. Wish that I could have made it out.
I'm halfway thinking about driving up to Bristol for their SCCA Solo event next Saturday. Anyone interested in making the trip with me?

im doing pretty good over here, were living in tents right now but are looking to move into 4 men rooms pretty soon. this place is huge, had to buy a mountain bike to get around the base. i actually put those 600's back into my car just to make sure my car would run straight till i got the tune for the bigger injectors. i may sell them after i get my car retuned and done. im eyeballing a set of work rims right now in the classifieds that i think would look great with my set up. right now im just trying to save to pay off the wifes car. I cant wait for CIN to start on my z and send me some progress reports, lol. hows your z doin?
Hey spark, what all are you doing to your new z? what kinda spray you putting towards it? Any goals as of yet?

The spray setup is going to be pretty trick - lean cut, low fuel pressure cut, RPM window, progressive controller, NANO system for consistent pressure, running dual sets of solenoids in case one set fails/locks, upgraded fuel pump, bottle opener, big show LED purge, etc. I'll be running a "daily tune" that is safe for the spray (just in case I hit the bottle opener and forget to swap maps). I'll have a dedicated "nitrous tune" that is the best setup for running spray. Then I'll have a tune that I can use for "NA/Track tune" when the bottles aren't in the car and there is no risk of the nitrous being in the picture. I can switch the maps on the fly, but I'd rather play it safe and not make that a habit - too easy to be running the wrong map and BOOM!
I'm going to be using the spray to get a feel for the hp/tq that I'll end up with when the LS goes in, so I'm shooting for the 390-400tq range since I'm stock DE engine, which should put me just over 400hp. It will be tuned for that, but I have the MicroEdge+ progressive controller so I can dial down how fast the hit comes on so that I can try put it down to the pavement and keep traction. Looking at RFP1's in either a staggered 9.5/10.5 setup or a square 10.5 setup, so I should be able to run some meat in the rear to help out with the traction as well.
Suspension - 100%
Brakes - 100%
Intake / Exhaust - 100%
Exterior - 80% (vinyls going on next week, front diffuser soon)
Audio/Video - 90% (should be finished by ZDayz)
Engine - 50% (finishing NANO install & big show LED purge - not tuned yet)
Wheels/Tires - 25% (deals in the works - see above)
Cooling - 25% (still need oil cooler & upgraded radiator before engine swap)
Drivetrain - 0% (looking for an LSD now, clutch/flywheel waiting for engine swap)
Lighting - 0% (looking out for a deal on 06+ heads & tails - low priority)
I'm going to try to finish as much of the above before summer really kicks in so that I can enjoy her at some track events until the cold weather hits. I'll start buying everything for the LS swap in the fall and then hope to have the swap finished in time for ZDayz 2013.

I've posted on here a couple of times since I've had my Z for about a year now, but since I just starting modding here it goes
Jonathan
04 Chrome Silver 350z Touring Roadster
18" Hyperblack Varrestoen 9.5"/10.5
JWT Popcharger and Z1 Intake
s2000 Shorty Antenna
To be installed: HKS Hi-Power Dual Exhaust- a wedding gift from my fiance
Next on the list: 06+ Headlights, Nav, possibly NISMO v2 body kit
Question- Why is the SC page the only one not "stickied" at the top of the thread?
I just left Charleston, but will be in Greenville for a couple of months before I start law school in the fall at USC. I've got some free time, so I'd be interesting in meeting some guys around here since this is where I will finally settle down. I know people meet at Chiefs a lot, but I don't know the details..also what is the Z/G scene like in Columbia?
