Default Need help finding tree-lined drive in Georgia

Been a while since I’ve been on the boards regularly but I need your help guys. I’m now engaged and we’re looking for a location to have our wedding. I’m trying to find a tree-lined road somewhere in Southern Georgia but am having trouble. I found a place called the Wormsloe Estate in Savannah but the facilities aren’t reservable.

Below is a picture from Wormsloe to give you an idea of what we’re looking for. If you know of, or happen to find anything similar, please let me know. Thanks in advance for all the help.

I can't see the picture - but are you just looking for one street lined in live oaks with hanging moss - sort of like a driveway to Tara?

Drive into South Carolina - on 17 - about 10 or 12 miles up - is just such a road on your left. There may even be one or two slave quarters left nearby for you. I can't remember the exact location - but a wonderful location for a photo shot.

If you are looking for a place to hold the wedding like that - I'd have to think some more.... Wormsloe is a lovely plantation -- there is one further down near Hinesville that is a tourist spot, perhaps worth the look? For Southern grace there is always the tourist bureau in Beaufort, SC... but too many tourists for a good photo op.

We're really looking for an outdoor location to hold our wedding but we want a street lined with oaks and such for photos as well.

Thanks for the info. We're thinking of taking a drive up that way to check out some spots we've located. Think of anything else, PLEEEASE let me know.

There is a great tree lined historic district with old mansions and shops on the GA/Bama line in Eufaula Al. My wife and I just passed through going to Fl. I have been through this area many times and it is stunning(alot of it has been restored and should make for some great photo opps). If you have any questions let me know.

Chris

ps- congrats on joing the married bunch(got married last year).
