Howdy... Yep it's true we, Dark Side Driving Events, are back at Roebling Road in November. (We've been doing DEs at RRR since 2001.) We offer a full weekend of driver ed -- teaching you how to control your car, be more aware and just have a good time driving a track within your car's (and yours) ability.

We kick it off on Friday. For those who have proven solo track time - the track offers a lapping day. Tech opens at the track around 3-ish. Then we all head to the host hotel for wine, beer, pizza, etc. and more tech!

Saturday morning we address the troops and let everyone know where they are expected to be. That night, we return to the host hotel where a BBQ will be setting up (shower first?) hot dogs, hamburger, more beer, more wine, etc. all part of the weekend.

Sunday, back on the track to hone what you learned the day before.

For those of you that have not turned to the Dark Side - we offer you a social weekend as you learn what we all know - how much fun a weekend at the track can be. If you are new to the sport, do not worry, you will be given an instructor who will be with you for the entire weekend - getting you over whatever fears, questions, bad driving habits you have.

Do you usually have somebody doing mounting and alignment at the events? Because it looks like I might not have enough rubber left for 2 days.

last 2 times i dont remember there being anyone doing that but i may be wrong.

This is a long shot - but Bob Woodman of Woodman Tires was thinking of coming - if you know him, how about giving him a shout - then you'd have a tire man there!

Truth is, we are a DE not a race -- and the tires tend to last longer at the DEs.

 

sweet, see you guys there. think about doing taste of the track for $25 i think it is, then you can ride with any instructor with a helmet.

 

i will do it. if i stop being lazy and change my endlinks and brake pads..

oh sweet, you're gonna run? def recommend trying it at least once. its a whole different animal than auto-x.

 

na i m not gonna run// but i will definately come heck it out and maybe get a taste of that track for 25... this is a great deal but i m short on cash ordered 2 many parts for the bmw and some parts for the Z... i m thinkin bout selling hte BMW.. if sold by then and registration is open i will do it.

 

cool cool. ya just riding with instructors is a blast. i usually try and get 3-5 rides each weekend just to check out different cars/lines/styles/etc.
