Questions about FL living.
I grew up in ocala, went to school in tallahassee, and now live in tampa for work. Ocala was just full of horse farms, so rule that out. Tallahasse was awesome for college, but no way i would make it a permenant residence. I am really happy with south tampa right now. Its tough to find a job, but it is possible. You have pro hockey football and baseball. Ybor is kinda trashy but look up the soho (howard street) area in tampa. its a street full of cool bars all next to one another. So i would recommend tampa.
But also there is jax. i always have fun visiting there, but a few people i know didnt like living there. I dunno, tampa seems more professional for some reason. im almost 24 btw

ft. lauderdale/deerfield/pompano - best places imho. Why? cause I used to live there for 20+ years and regret moving lol. beach, clubs, car scene, housing for all income levels, etc.
Fort Lauderdale / Miami for partying, most places stay open to 4 am and some later, it is more expensive to live here then other parts, best strip clubs
Orlando is cheaper to live in, you can get a much nicer place then Ft Lauderdale and decent partying open till 2 am

MAY I THROUGH AUSTIN TEXAS AS A POSSIBLE CHOICE FOR YOU!
cheap housing, Jobs, beautiful scenery, capital music of the world, more clubs then any other state including miami and newyork, low crime rate, low cost of living, no state tax, Austin has the youngest population in the whole united states.

Alright here are some updates. I took off from work 15th to the 19th and im planning on coming to orlando. and im trailoring my bike down so i can cruise through miami and towns/cities as well. So i guess if i like what i see, then i might consider moving down.
Just a question, where abouts in orlando are good hotels and clubs and such. and are there bike nights or anything down there. I feel like doing some wheelies haha.
I'm just really excited because first time in FL.

-Downtown Orlando clubs (Church Street area)
-Universal Studios City Walk clubs
-And even some near Downtown Disney
There are others scattered about, but those locations probably have the most concentrated number of clubs in one spot. They are about 15min apart driving time, so a hotel near either location will do. There are hotels on the Universal property, and there's also hotels along the adjacent International Drive (which also has many restaurants, clubs, etc)
But overall, Orlando will pretty much put you 1.5hrs from Tampa and 1hr from Daytona Beach if you decide to move here. I've also noticed/heard that people from the New York City area tend to really like Ft Lauderdale/Miami 'cause of the big city scene. But i believe it's a tad more expensive than other Florida locations and not sure about the crime rate. Tampa/St Pete area, there you have the big city feel and beach as well, and not too far from Orlando.
Oh and, as far as the Panhandle, Tallahassee, or the I-10 corridor in general...it's commonly referred to as south Georgia if that gives you any idea. Although i will say that Panama City or other spots right on the beach are very nice...but only because of the beach. Venture outside of said areas and you're running into cow fields.
Anyways, just my two cents.

Well i havent booked the rooms yet, do you think i should make reservations in another city/town. I did wanna visit the beaches, hit up clubs and meet plenty of girls but i also wanted to check out the real estate down there. Check out the living conditions. I plan on buying a house by the end of this year so sorry if my questions seem repetitive. I just dont wanna buy it in a location in which ill regret later, hence the vacation. I guess ill find out in a couple weeks.
you may want to consider renting on a 7 month lease while you get familiar with the area(s) for a house. There are girls everywhere, but yea, you do tend to see more bikinis when you live near the beach
But like i said, the beach is only an hour away...sometimes less depending on your location.

Dude if you move down here, live on the coast where ever you go (tampa, miami, jax). When youre in orlando, the beach is so close, yet so far... if you know what i mean. you cant beat living on the water.

I know what you guys are saying and as tempted as I am, i have to consider mother natures work. I dont wanna get rammed with hurricanes and tidal waves. lol but thats just an assumption. I dont know how it really is down there.
I've lived in FL for 31 years and only 1 hurricane made a direct hit where i lived. But hurricanes just cause a lot of thunderstorms otherwise.

Ok so i visited orlando and miami this past weekend and gotta say i loved it. Sun killed my skin but worth it. One thing i didnt like was how strict cops are over there. I got pulled over 6 times in 2 days. Luckily no tickets. Might seriously consider moving by the end of this year and most likely to orlando.

Ok apparently cops in FL are the only officers that care if you place your lis plate further down on the tail of the bike. I got pulled over 4 times for that. THEN i got pulled over one time at night for having yellow lowbeams. And one last time because i decided to squid it out one day and ride with no helmet and i got pulled over because my sunglasses were over my head and not over my eyes.
^LOL, were you hanging out in Pine Hills or something???
Where did you end up staying? Just curious because north of Orlando is great, like the Lake Mary area. It's closer to the beaches but still close enough for a daily commute to Orlando. Great prices on beautiful houses there as well.
