Guess I should start being more social with my z ... I dont drive it as much anymore. I want to get back into the scene a bit. In Charlotte mostly during the week and Spartanburg sc (sparklecityhop, saw your name and immediately knew you were close)on the weekends.
Im looking for the autocrosses and hoping to make it out to zmax once and a while.

I'm in Charlotte during the week some because one of our datacenters is there. Our NOC is in Greenville & I travel for work some too. Weekends, I'm home with the baby in Boiling Springs unless travelling to an event.

Just in fun...
I've been trying to come up with an idea of something fun to do for ZDayz, and tonight I had some fun playing around with some painters tape and a pool noodle.
Those that have driven through South Carolina and have seen one of our State Trooper cars should see the joke in this.
Anyways, flame away... again, it's not permanent and not something that I think "looks good", just all in fun. First pic is an actual SC Trooper car.

hehehe... I'm just wondering what the boys in blue are going to have to say about it. I think that it will at least be worth a few laughs around here as long as no police want to act like jerks about it.
Oh yeah, the blue noodle on the cage was completely for giggles. The blue lines on the body are actually something I'm thinking about doing in vinyl for a month or so on the car - mainly for ZDayz and another event/meet or two in the area.

Not illegal in SC. It would be illegal if I had:
- any blue lights
- any red lights
- strobes (except for white/amber in front, amber/red in back & only for a hazardous condition)
- altered headlights
- altered taillights
- any use of the word "Police" or "Ambulance"
- any use of enforcement/government seals
- blue reflective
It is not illegal to have any particular stripe design.
Several friends are officers and I will check with both local and state departments once my design is complete for their input. However, I have gone through the whole SC vehicle code & I'm making sure that I'm not crossing any lines. Even if I were to get pulled by an aggressive officer, I'll let him ticket me and handle it with the court. Arguing with the officer never does you any good, he doesn't interpret the law, he just enforces it as he understands it.

I'm hoping that with the final design that they would actually have a sense of humor about it, but you never know.
Luckily, it's all going to be vinyl, so if someone does ticket me, I should be able to get the judge to knock it down to a "fix it" ticket once I can demonstrate that what I've done is not illegal per the wording of the current law.

Yeah, and I don't mind that it's "rolling probable cause" because I don't ever have anything in the car that I'd be afraid of a cop finding. We'll see how it goes. One way or the other, I think that I'll end up with some stories out of doing it. I can't see leaving it permanent, but for a little while might be fun.

Looks fun, I'd get crazy with that roll cage...
Fly a kite off it
Give it a double Mohawk
Strap some flags to it
Dress up a stuffed monkey with a cop hat and let it hang off the monkey bars
Give it bunny ears
Wrap it in tin foil and call it southern chrome
Possibilities are endless

anyone know of an alignment shop near fayettville that can get lowered cars on their lifts? I guess the three shops I went to today are only capable of handling jacked up 4WD's and Cadillac's on 30" rims..... My car doesn't even sit that low.... Just saying, I raised it 1.5" compared to the pics I posted on page 3....
Sparklecity, show us a full shot of your car. Teasing me with a 1/2 shot of the front bumper with fog lights....

Also, you can check out the following link for pictures specifically of the DRLs https://my350z.com/forum/exterior-an...some-drls.html
Most recent pics during the day are here https://my350z.com/forum/9121469-post1238.html
And you've seen the ones above where I was playing around with the police car idea for ZDayz.
