Default Vq35 engine machining help??

I'm looking to start my build very soon on my 04 350z. I'm looking for a shop to take the motor to for both head work with porting and polishing and valve train, and boring and honing on my block. Needing somewhere semi local as I can't have my car down for months. Anyone know a good reputable machine shop close to Statesville nc??

Are you going F/I or just building the block and doing heads?

Going twin turbo, got a buddy that owns a shop in mooresville nc and he said he can get my block done 8:8:1 weisco pistons, eagle rods, everything coated for high temp, whole bottom end balanced and shaved, bored and honed for 2500 but now I've decided on head work too. Might as well knock it all out the first time then maybe 6 months later tt it.

Do some research in the F/I section... the head work is not money well spent unless you are looking for ~600+whp. Several have gotten there without it.

I was actually reading through there before I came back to this thread coincidently, I agree z's have good head flow but I am shooting for 600 whp to start and always want the option to go up. My rings are already bad so the block has to come apart anyways. Might do cams and valves instead of fully built head. I just need a good machine shop that has good vouches from other people.
