Yea, i love road race events, i was trying to upload my vid but its 650 Mbs LMAO!!!. Hopefully we can get a track day on usually, its with another massive group like the porshe clubs (not sure how they are in FL) and usually its this massive GB for great rates. i usuallly never get impressed with Zs on the 1/4 cause yea it does well for a independent suspension drag vehicle , but its really not what its designed for. Sffarah makes some awesome vids of his car, and as you can see its about technique as hes passing elises etc. Gotta love the straights with a Z. Well hopefully something does happen man. Not sure of the tracks over here for summer, usually u have to book way in advance. It would be nice to see some FI Zs and Some NA zs tear it up though . And maybey i can get a little revup vs none revup vs HR action by then and have a nice vid lol.

 

When someone takes the time to set it all up and everyone else pays up. So who is going to step up and volunteer their time?

I'll help set this event up.. (first I should officially join OZOC though... )
We should put a committee together for a Road Race event and say rent the Daytona track or Sebring or some track...maybe we'll start out small.

 

Me too, I did it in my 240sx (w/ SR). I needed the following:

the tranny (duh!), manual tranny driveshaft, master slave cylinder, clutch lines, clutch pedal, manual ECU, shift **** and center console trim piece. Is this all we would need for the swap on a Z. Sounds expensive.... Then I wonder how long labor would take. I paid 500 for labor, on top of the 1000 for my SR swap. The car ran 13.0 down the 1/4 mile on stock boost (7psi)/stock tiny snail, for a little 240rwhp turbo charged car that wasn't bad. Hey, thats the same rwhp as my car now, wow, weight makes a huge difference. My 240 was all gutted out, with a carbon fiber hood and weighed prob 2500lbs. My Z is prob 750lbs heavier! Well... I'll stop being nostalgic...

 

I wouldn't even know where to start with something like that but it would be fun to have a track day.

 

We did a track day at Sebring but its NOT cheap Chinmotorsports.com was out that day and to drive you have to be an instructor(2 club peeps are) and the cars everything from an SRT-4, EVO,Lotus Else, Porsche Carrera GT to a Lambo...You get to ride not drive!!!! But the club went to a event last year that I wish I could have went but did'nt make it.....This would be awsome get all the G club and OZOC and 350z club peeps in on this one.....Should'nt be too much between everyone...(sorry don't know how much off hand)..Check it out, EVERYONE drives....

Yea, it would be nice if all the Z clubs and G clubs get into this, i mean whats the poitn of all the suspension etc mods if we never use it for what its designed for right.lol. Also actually if u get into a accident with your car on a track, not only will insurance not cover it , they may cancel your insurance due to it being a hazard. Car racing insurance is rediculous, i mean i paid 340 (reg insurance) for my insurance in NYC florida i got a discount to 150, race car insurance not offered by allstate btw, its 2500 a mnth and thats a quote. The car must be inspected etc, and every part reciet kept etc its not joke. LOL anyways thats why tracks usually send a instructor with you to give u a heads up when your about to do something stupid. Its not street racing , theres alot of race manners ( lmao) , but theres always a guy there to make mess it up always lol. Im def down, shoot, when i have time i have to check if any of the other Z&G clubs do suchs things if so maybey work on something for all of us , imagine 40+ Z&gs on the track man, talk about a nice acoustics lmao.

 

Ron, I knew you were going to do it!! Good decision man. Now you'll have no problem putting down some serious numbers.

Has anyone ever ordered anything from evo-r.net (Jay)? I ordered LED lights from him back in late December and I not only haven't received it but he won't respond to my emails or PMs .

Let me correct that he did respond to the first email and said he must have missed the order and would get back to me. I've now sent 4 emails and a PM but nothing .

I don't know but this is the first time this has ever happened to me so if anybody has any words of wisdom it would be greatly appreciated, thanks
