Well if you went to sunset, you may know
I grew up with like 6 people that were freshmen when I was a senior.
Basically family.
How long were you there?
Did you go to McMillan?
Where in Orlando are you living now?

I put my JWT clutch/flywheel/pressure plate in today . Had to scootch the seat up a couple notches just so I could get the clutch pushed down for the first couple miles I was driving it.
I have a question though for you guys. Do any of you or do you know of anyone who has put in a lightened flywheel and as a result has had increased gear noise out of the transmission. I used to only have a little bit but now its much louder than before. Im searching the forums right now for any clue to whats going on but I seem to be at a loss for finding any info.

I have actually seen a couple of people on here complain about the increased noise from the JWT combo. How do you like it so far? Is it ok for a DD?

As far as a DD clutch combo so far today Id have to say that you should be able to manage with it as a DD clutch combo.
I have to tighten up my drive belts tommorrow though, just for giggles today when I got home since I hadnt beaten on my car all day I put it in neutral and smashed the gas to redline.
One of my belts is either loose or the motor just revs so fast now that it cant keep up because I heard an accessory component squeak as I revved it the one time.

If its not though then I need to rip the trans out first thing tommorrow before work and have a look around to see wth is rubbing/grinding/grouching in my trans.

That should be ample enuff for your question.
Beyond the noise... is the car quicker? Third gear chirping and everything sexy that goes with that lol.
I wont know how much faster the car feels or drives until 500 miles from now. Im not beating on it or opening it up until then. I can tell you this though.
It does crank faster and there is more low end torque from what my butt dyno is telling me. The engagement point is alot lower too on this clutch so it takes some getting used to. And like I said before, Im going to have to tighten my drive belts up a bit because something slipped out and screeched yesterday when I revved the car.

Well I have a answer for my noise, comes straight from JWT. Heres the email I recieved this morning.

Hi Charles,
Here is some information on the transmission sound when changing from
a dual-mass type flywheel to a conventional solid flywheel. This is
from a Sport Compact Car Magazine article on their project 350Z.
"In a quest for smooth, quiet drivetrains that are strong
enough to take relentless abuse, Nissan has adopted dual-mass
flywheels on all (both) its new engines. Big, strong gearboxes like
the one in the 350Z/G35 tend to rattle and groan like a UPS truck at
low rpm. The noise comes from torsional vibrations originating from
the surge of individual power strokes. A dual-mass flywheel
separates the crankshaft and clutch sides of the flywheel by a set of
springs. Using the power of math, Nissan engineers chose appropriate
spring rates and flywheel mass to damp out these vibrations, making
the gearbox smooth and quiet and eliminating complaints from those
who would whine about funny noises.
Unfortunately, that math also shows Nissan engineers the Z/G35
flywheel has to be 25.5 pounds to damp things properly. That doesn't
seem overly heavy when a quick a quick zing of the throttle unleashes
274 lb-ft of torque, but when we replaced that 25 pounds with 14
pounds of Jim Wolf aluminum flywheel, we were amazed what we had been missing.
Free-revving in neutral is just silly now. The lighter
flywheel frees horsepower once used for accelerating its 25
pounds. In high gears, the difference is negligible, but in first
and second gear, where each mile per hour means more revolutions of
that 25-pound flywheel, the difference is surprising. Hard-driving
fast shifts are now easier and smoother, but cruising around, revs
actually drop so quickly between shifts that lazy gearwork makes you
drive like a clutch monkey.
The gearbox does indeed make noises now. At idle and
accelerating hard below 2000 rpm, you would think something was wrong
if you didn't know better, but since you put the flywheel in, you
understand the noises. Above 2000 rpm, the gearbox is silent. The
noise shouldn't translate into accelerated wear, by the way, it just
sounds like it does."
