Will do. I hope to make one of your meets after I get back. I still have another 100 miles to put on the CC STG 4 I put in before the Z starts getting punished

Im looking to do a dyno pull and maybe a re tune. Any suggestions? I live 4 min from Titan but they work mostly on Toyo's. I was thinking CFT since they do have a nissan tech there.

CFT = FAIL!!!!

Dont go their, I went there to have my car tuned and they did a HORRIBLE job. They do great work on other cars but on our car. FORGET ABOUT IT!!! I ended up going to Jeremy then to Forged Performance.

Honestly, I would take the great drive and go see Forged, he is on point and WELL WORTH THE DRIVE!! I did it twice. Jeremy from performance factory tuned mine originally. I heard he was working somewhere down south fla. If he is still tuning the he is a good alternative, but beware. His customer service skills suck. Put plastic in your car before you give it to him, he doesnt care how dirty he is, he will sit in your seats regardless and not even put a drop cloth down.

If it wasnt for the fact that he tunes so well I would say F him but he is an option.

Thanks for the heads up. My car was also originaly tuned by PF according to the last onwer. The car feels good just some idle issues, but I would like to personnaly see what the vitals are myself. How long was the drive to forged? I know its located in Ga. I just dont like the idea of driving that far and not having a way back if something would happen to go wrong on the dyno.

That is why we went as a caravan and made a weekend of it. Atlanta is a sweet place to party, well buckhead anyway.

The drive took about 7 hours and we stopped several times to rest and eat. I am sure you can find someone that wants to go up there this way you have a ride if something should go horribly wrong.

I wouldnt expect it unless you built your motor and dont know what your doing. Shariff is pretty damn good at tuning, no issues no drama.

I just went to Japtrix in West Palm this weekend for a rear diff swap. Swapped with Mario down there for the 3.3 rear diff, they were really great there. Roger is really nice and doesn't BS you. I'm prob going to take my Z there to get it tuned when I build the motor. It's alot closer then forged if theres something that needs to be checked out.

I heard Japtrix likes to blow motors when tuning. Before I went to Forged, I was looking at Japtrix to tune my car. When I asked them info in regards to my HKS F-Con and wanting a specific part for it as part of an upgrade to the kit, they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about and said that they had to research it. I basically wanted my navigator to read boost levels along with the A/F ratio. Research it? They are an authorized dealer of HKS parts and installation.

The navigator is a common reader screen for the F-Con. That alone said go somewhere else. If your going to sell something then you had damn well know about it. My car isn't something for them to learn on if you know what I mean.

I am new to the Z world but I can tell you I have been around for a while. And I must agree the if you sell something you should know that product in and out for many reasons as a seller. In the other hand you have some people that just want info to do their own DIY projects. Some shops are very selective on what they want to say to the customer without killing their buisness, somewhat like locking tunes. That could have been the case, I dont know. But if I would be selling a product I would show my customer my knowledge of the product, that could go a long way. I have been doing a lot of research on tuner in Fl. and it looks like they all aare for the most good depending on how much you want to spend and your power goals. In my case Im looking to do my tune in this order:

1. Jeremy (PF) Since he did the initial tune
2. Forged (good reputation and reviews for my power goals)
3. Japtrix (If everything else fails for just idle issues not power gains tune)
4. CFT (Same as above or if Lazcano comes from PR and does the tune it will be my first option)

Thats my same worry. I know Forged has a very good rep, but you never know what your engine is going to do. The tune can be perfect and if there is something else that was about to go, then your done. I had that happen to me with another car I had and it sucked trying to get back. I hope getting some gauges (Boost and wideband) helps me know what the car is doing for now. Then go for the tune.

You heard wrong Man. I don't know where you get your info from but that's a pretty harsh thing to say without knowing for a fact what your talking about. I can tell you Japtrix knows everything there is to know about HKS. I wonder how long ago this happened or who you spoke with because it sounds wrong to me...

I'm glad things worked out for both of us. I'm also glad you had the opportunity to get to know the real Japtrix crew

If this was awhile ago it was prob that other tuner that was sharing the shop with them, I cannot remember what his name was even though he cost me thousands of $$, that guy is an idiot and I don't care what anyone else says he has no idea what he is doing and is a straight up liar. He told me my brand new utec was broken and that I needed to get osiris (osiris is a great company btw just not what I wanted for a high hp Z) and when I went ahead and agreed (b/c I had to tow my Z down there b/c it was not running) he bricked my ECU 3 times and my Z sat for over a month before I finally had enough and got a transport through Forged and had my car taken to them. And a transport from west palm to GA then back to Orlando is not cheap! There ended up being nothing wrong with the UTEC in the end so that tuner idiot lied and tried to hold my car hostage but thank god the guys at Japtrix were there when the transport came and helped load it up.

I feel really bad that I had prevouisly confused the two shops myself but after my experience and getting the real story from my visit I feel really good about Japtrix as a company and they are EXTREMELY upfront and honest. They have a giant plasma so you can actually see the dyno runs and see the graphs for when its running lean etc. and they explain everything to you while its being tuned (I saw the cleanest Supra get dyno'd while I was there)

Sorry for such a long post I just wanted to clear the air from people who knew of my bad experience with that other tuner.

I heard wrong, what the hell are you talking about. I heard this with my own ears. The guy I talked to was a moron. He didnt know crap about HKS, I spoke to him personally. Dont make statements when you are making assumptions about issues you know nothing about. And the time frame was feb of last year. I was in Atlanta and had my car tuned at forged performance on valentines day. I dont know who I talked to, i was transferred to the supposed HKS specialist. Who again I say didnt even know what the navigator was for the F-Con. Ahemm expert........

I am like Bill Orielly, this is the no spin zone. I dont spread BS, i tell it like it is. If the truth hurts then find a new job. Anyone that knows me knows I am a straight shooter.

Besides what do you work for the place?

Last time I checked, everyone is entitled to their opinions about a place of business. This was my experience with the shop. If yours was good then you speak your mind, I could care less whether or not you agree; however, its unnecessary to make snide remarks about what others have to say when you don't agree.

Check this thread out, it only solidifies my argument.

Just to add my .02, these forums are intended for that purpose. To find information on our cars, shops ect. If there was one person that had a bad experience with a shop and 20 that didnt, thats a good percentage for me. I do a lot of reaserch when trying to decide on a dyno shop since I had my own share of bad experiences. I too had to leave my car in a shop for a while and it sucks. Not to mention the money spent. I do appreciate the honesty, but I will be making my own mind after I visit Japtrix if all my other options fail.

1. Forged (Ga.)
2. PF (S. Fl)
3. Japtrix (S. Fl)
4. CFT (Lazcano) Orlando

Anyone know where in orlando I can get my fenders rolled? I live in Maitland and don't mind driving distances (drives to Deland 4 days a week).

Talking about engine builds, tuning etc. We are a new vendor to this forum but not new to the VQ world or the central Florida race scene. Jay Meagher the owner is the engine builder and tuner. We have already done full twin turbo 350z builds and will continue to do them

We have a 6000sq ft shop/dyno here on US HWY 17-92 just north of the 434 intersection.
