I was in that "was there but unfortunately his Z was at Fontana Village after wearing out the brakes on Friday night following Doug and Chris" category.

Had a nice squeaky drive to Knoxville on Saturday afternoon trying to get past the morons on the bicycles who wouldn't let the Z following them down 129 in 2nd gear with the high pitch squeal go by...

Any one else out there with scars from the dragon?

Mine are:
Half dragged Cat back
Surface fissures on my front rotors
The powder coat on my rotors is blistered off
and the rear inner fenders are rubbed raw from the 335's.

Simply awesome, you can't slay a dragon without a few scars.

 

not here.. though I have a few nice ones on my wheels from preparations leading up to the Dragon!

 

I have a BUNCH more rock chips in my front bumper. Oh well, thats why I didnt get it repainted yet.

Our jailbird is back in the mountains today to try and save his life.....literally. I'll let you know how it goes.

 

Im here I was the guy who the bimmer Baztardz left behind. I'll be sure to bring my Z next time so that doesn't happen again (if it runz). As far as their excuses so far there are quite a few for leaving me behind. So far i have heard: He had a ride back because Cory took him back (but somehow this is wrong since Cory drove about 70 miles out of his way to get me back to UTK), the next excuse might **** you guys off ALOT they claim that we all insulted them and belittled them and the reason the left my azz was because I belittled him and treated him like crap because his BMW was not a Z, also they left because we left them (dinner) but then again they dissapeared and never came back, there is the excuse they had homework, there is the excuse that he felt "out of place" with all the Zs. they even said they just left me, and of course as usual I had a ride, also they have said that they left me because I was hanging out with Cory and not them. The drivers dad (who bought him the BMW) works at the same place as my dad and well Monday morning he wen't up to my dad and told him that his son left me because I treated him like crap and insulted his BMW and belittled it becase it wasn't a Z. My parents actually believed him and later that day I had my mnom going off on me and I was just like wtf is all this B.S. It took Cory telling my mom it was all lies to actually get her to believe me. Those two bitchez even called some of my friends and lied to them but I told my friends what really happened and luckily they believe me. I know the only thing my dad said to the bimmer kid's dad was that he left me with the bill but I am not so mad about that. I think the only thing we were all pissed about was how that asshat drove. He never seemed to be able to stay on his side of the yellow line and he never knew how to brake (Chris and Cory can attest to that). If anything i don't think any of us "insulted his BMW because it wasn't a Z" i think we were all just really pissed by his dangerous sucky driving. The funny thing is the excuse about us belittling his BMW didn't come around till late Sunday night/early Monday when he found out not only was I extremely mad (I think the maddest I have ever been) but that everyone was pissed about his driving. At first I was thinking of using a baseball bat on the two but I figured that wouldn't be good since the Air Force would probably revoke my ROTC scholarship and I really don't want to even almost get as low as them (almost being the key word) I figure I will just never talk to them and I will make sure that nobody thinks the same about them again. Other then that I had a great weekend and to everyone who let me ride in their amazing 350Zs and that R/T (damn I wonder what they would of said if we had made fun of the BMW like we did the AAAAAAAARRRRRR/TTTTEEEEEEEE good thing u can laugh Cory). And Matt thanks for letting me come along Sunday morning I was really impressed with your driving and car and sucks about the little temperature then mud problem we had. Hope everything worked out there and thanks to everyone who went I had a blast (except for the one part) I can say that that was one of the best weekends in my life and sadly one of the worst but you guys were great.

Your BMW buddies are jerks for doing what they did and then bad mouthing YOU! Forward this to them so they see it. With friends like that...

EVERYONE there can attest to the fact they can't drive, and in fact were dangerous to the group. I let the Lightning go by me as I was behind them for about 30 minutes, and could not believe how close they were behind Cory's Stratus and how many times they locked up the brakes. I wanted to get away from them (plus I was holding the Lightning up!). I thought we were out for a "spirited" drive, not racing. I did hear one of them say something stupid like "if I had the brakes and tires and suspension like the Z has, I could keep up." Well, if you think my 240Z handles, stops or goes like a new Z (or that Lightning), you're kidding yourself.

If you see those two BMW knuckleheads, ask them if I can buy them some life insurance with me as beneficiary if they intend to go back to the Dragon. I could use the money!

 

LOL I will be sure that they will see this I'm thinking about posting on Bimmerforums. I can't even believe at one time I considered them my friends, I can't even say their names and friend in the same sentence anymore. And another thing I left out the only thing they said to me when everyone got back (before they dissapeared for good) was that newer Zs most of gotten slower because they had no trouble keeping up with all of the 350Zs. I about started laughing at them and I just walked away as they went up to the room. The entire time me and Cory were sitting there watching and saying they just almost rear-ended us again and then a few seconds latter they almost did again and that was how it was until we left. And Chris said they were just like that when they were behind him. And I guess even if I don't get the Z ready my little Jetta with it's 115 horses of fury will come play in the twisties ( I just don't even want to know what it will look like the second the 350Zs or any of the other Zs hit the straights I'll probably cry) but I think it might do well in the turns.

We really should do the whole life insurance thing I'm still amazed taht they didn't kill themselves or anyone else. And the funny thing for the few minutes I yelled at them before I hung up they were saying when they went back out by themselves they didn't see any bikes and they admitted to being in the other lane on every turn all I could tell them was the person you kill you won't even see before you hit him.

 

Also it seems bimmer Bish has posted some crap on bimmerforums

I FINALLY spent a good hour scrubbing and washing. Not TOO much in terms of battle scars. I DID freaking scuff the front end with the airhose when I changed out, and put the new plenum on. SOB!!! You cannot have ANYTHING nice anymore.

Screw it... I'm destined to drive a TRACK car. Not a showcar.

... if I wanted a showcar I'd buy a nismo bodykit and supercharge it! :evilgrin:

Bini and I rode behine the Beemer for a good while of the Saturday cruize. I swear I thought I saw him on three wheels on damn near every corner. At first Bini and I laughed at them, but they didn't get any better. Chris took matter into his own hands by jerking them before the corners, which jerked me. Rather frightening experience. I will have to get Bini's opinion on which was worse, tailing them or riding shot gun on the dragon.

I believe Jose (sorry don't know screen name) even tried to 'advise' them on proper following distance.

As far as non-Z ridicule goes, I should be #1 on that list! Dear god man, it is a truck. How non Z is that?

I think we all know what really happened, we can blame it on Doug. He think he rather soundly schooled them on the dragon, ;P.

Any way, dude, if you attend school with these to 'guys', simply be cool, you know what happened and how it all went down. Folks like that get their own. Either that car or that 'driver' will end up in a ditch of their own doing. they are not worth getitng in trouble about. For a chuckle though you could give them a driving for dummies book for Christmas.
