Road Rally type event to celebrate the birthday of the 350Z and to commemorate the DVD called “The Run” that was made by Nissan specifically for the 350Z. The event will be hosted by Autoway Nissan of Brandon on Saturday September 25th in Brandon, Fl. This is a model-specific event for the 350Z to support Shriners All Children Hospital

Details:

Road Rally-Poker Run throughout the beautiful Tampa Bay/St.Pete area.

Timed Run- Each car will be timed from the beginining of the Poker run to the completion. The car closetest to the official timed route is declared the winner. (Not the fastest time but the one closest to the official time).


Prizes:

1st place Poker Run - NismO Full Cat Back Exhaust

1st place Timed Run - NismO Cold Air Intake

Many other prizes will be raffled away i.e Nissan 350z luggage set, 350Z shirts, hats, keychains, goodies from www.properautocare.com etc.

This will be an all day event with local radio stations on hard as well as food and drinks. Come out to support a great charity and try your "Hand" at winning great prizes.


Entry Fee:

Entry fee into the poker run will be $25.00 preregistered and $35.00 the day of with proceeds going to Shriners All Childrens Hospital.

what is the poker run??

i'm intersted and will hopefully be there if school schedule permits.

 

During the run you get a playing card at each stop and at the end the person with the winning hand wins the poker run.

Well, if I run like I did at the Zfest poker run I wont win the timed section, I got slighlty ahead of the official time on a few sections where it was wide open road

Proposed Agenda for "The Run" is as follows (Proposed because there are still a few details to be finalized, however, the main event is all planned and the main prizes are in place):

Friday Night (Sept 24th) - Meet at the Holiday Inn Express to meet and greet anyone coming in from out of town for "The Run". (The actual "Run" does not kick offf until 1:00pm the next day. That way if people do not want to arrive Friday night they can arrive Saturday in time to do "The Run" and then stay over Saturday night if they like and return home Sunday.)

Saturday Morning (Sept 25th) -
a) Continential Breakfast at the Holiday Inn Express
b) Some type of car activity in parking lot of Holiday Inn or at Shriners Headquarters (near the Holiday Inn). More details to come.
c) Near 1:00pm will be a drivers meeting to get the details about the route and at 1:00pm "The Run" will begin.

Saturday Afternoon (Sept 25th) - "The Run" will be two events in one. First there will be a "Poker Run" with designated stops throughout the route to draw your hand and the best hand will win a NISMO Exhaust. The route includes seeing the beautiful Tampa Bay waters. You will cross at least three bridges and drive along the prestigous Bayshore Blvd near downtown Tampa. While accomplishing the "Poker Run" you will be timed. This is NOT a "Cannonball Run" and the timed portion will be the route driven (including some time for stops for the Poker Run) at and around the speed limit. The time to try and achieve will not be disclosed and which ever car gets the closest to "The Run" time will win that event (NISMO CAI). "The Run" will end at AutoWay Nissan of Brandon where there will be food and entertainment from one of Tampa Bays best radio stations. This is where we will also announce the winners of the events and have the raffle giveaway.

Saturday Night (Sept 25th) - After a shower and some relaxation meet at the Green Iquana (walking distance from the Holiday Inn Express) for dinner and some fun.

Hey Jaki. Glad to hear it as we would like to meet one of our newest members. By the way this weekend we gave our TreaZurer your membership package and he is putting it in the mail to you. Hope you can make it to "The Run". Also a few of us are trying to make it to the SFZCC picnic this weekend. Will you be down that way? If so maybe we can hook up. Just look for the Silverstone 350Z with Nismo wheels and a tag that says "Z FACTOR". Z Ya!

I'll be there. Also i went to the mia. meet and talk to Gus and some mia people. I hope they make it. Also i talked to the O-town crew and i think they are going to try to make it also.

 

This was great fun last year! More cars, big prizes, scenic course!

This year's "The Run" sounds like it will be even better than last year...which will be hard to top. I am going to be there for sure. The prizes this year seem to be generating a lot of interest.

If you live in Florida or South GA, don't miss this event...you will NOT be disappointed. It's for a good cause too!

Woo hoo I am so there. Sounds like the perfect event for me to FINALLY get involved with some of the Z car clubs down here. I'm pretty excited about this... and it is right in my backyard when school starts...

Where "The Run" will Begin is as follows:

Date: September 25th

Place: Bahama Breeze Parking lot in front of the Holiday Inn Express (hotel reserved for "The Run")

Address: Bahama Breeze - 3045 N. Rocky Point Dr. E, Tampa (right off Courtney Campbell)

Time: Would like for everyone to arrive no later than 12:30pm(all 350Z Club Members should be there at noon) . This way everyone can pick up their registration packets and then the Drivers meeting will be at 1:00pm and the first 350Z will leave for the Poker Run right after the meeting.
