No he didn't take me downtown. I passed the breathalizer test! I didn't even have a buzz at that point. I guessed he killed that!

He claims I didn't have insurance on the car and that's why I couldn't drive it home. I couldn't reach my insurance agent as usual so I just switched my insurance over to another company...$300 per 6 months cheaper than Allstate.

 

Damn Ant, I'm sorry about that man! I've had to much trouble with cops in my life. You'll get out of that crap but it'll cost you a couple hundred buck (here at christmas) but that's what cops do best. They really screw with the good guys and let that guy who in killing someone or stealing something get away with anything! Sorry to hear that!

 

Yeah Lil, my court date is mid January and I'm glad the tow was free!

Some cops are cool as a fan and others are just asses.

Local cops have more reason to be jerks than troopers because of all of the crap they put up with. So by the time they get to you hopefully they are not still holding grudges/attitudes from the last call they were on.

 

That sucks Anthony, I hope you can get it reduced to a lesser charge or maybe just a fine with no points.

I don't know how the system works in Raleigh, but in Gaston County only the DA's office can reduce or throw out wreckless driving. I hope that is not the case with you.(check with a magistrate to see if they can help you) Most DA's will side with the officer. In some cases you can call or set up an appointment to meet with the officer and they may show you some leniency. But that is probably not likely being a trooper.

Good luck in getting this taken care of. I hope you can at the minimum get it reduced to an unsafe movement.

Hey Guys,

I about sh*t my pants when that trooper pulled right behind me. I was in line behind Khaboom when it all happened. I eased into the center lane and the trooper went right on by me....to pull over Ant. That's when he flashed his lights.

Hey Ant, notice how he pulled over in front of you to cut you off. interesting. Anyways. I still can't believe he was just pacing us and would have done nothing.

Regardless, it was a great time to meet all the Z owners. Man you guys have some beautiful rides!!

Us G owners were getting some flack for being chromatically challenged.

Can't wait for the next one. I suppose next time we should do it down in the Queen city to be fair.

Newcredit--that's crazy. If you need a crooked lawyer in Durham I have one for you--but he's not cheap. I also know of a shop that can evaluate your "improper" equipment.

You know, in winston if a cop flips blues on you, you can dust him and he can't chase you. If it is a sheriff or highway patrol you're in trouble.

 

Anthony...hope things work out. Thanks for not snitching on the "clown with the CA tags." That is ******** that he was following us for that long. I mean...how many times did you and I pass each other at 110mph?? At least three that I can recall. I thought we were actually pretty docile at a cool 95mph when the trooper gave chase.

I think Andy is right...what really pissed off the cop was your sweet looking 5 lane lane change....and then back over another 5 lanes. Although you werent close to any cars, I think that finally was the last straw for that poor trooper.

Crazy thing was I was crusing at 85mph, and then switched lanes and downshifted, and punched it to 90'ish...i was going to try to catch up to you. And then then see the trooper coming up my *** doing at least a buck. I swerved back to the right...also thinking he was going to flip the light on me.
