What route did you guys take?

Like everyone said - it was a great drive. Thanks to Will, Craig, David, and Don for coming out on such short notice. Too bad the summer's over and we have to wait 6 months to do this again.

Brian - we took I-70 to 91 at the Copper exit, then merged with 24 at Leadville, and turned off onto 82 to go over the pass. Pretty much the same route we took a couple of years ago, except that once in Aspen we turned around and came back the same way, rather than going up to Glenwood and taking I-70 back. It seemed like a quicker way back, and definitely more enjoyable than doing I-70. Sorry you couldn't make it, but at least you had some entertainment of your own!

I had the some thoughts while driving...that would make a great picture...no, THAT would make a great picture...

 

Thanks Gary... I will get you a BIG sized pic of the one you wanted soon. Your idea of getting together with everyones' pics and burning copies is an excellent idea. I have (or can have) all my pics burned on a cd or a thumbdrive. Now all we need is someone to host an open house/party/gathering at their NEW place so we can all share our pics with each other. Do you know anyone like that Gary???

Wished I could have stopped by your place on our way down, but I had gifts to deliver before someone special got back. And as it worked out, I didn't have a moment to spare.

Thanks for a wonderful time David, Gary, Will, and Craig. I know I'll be going back on this route as soon as I can. And if the weather holds like they say it will, I may even go again this weekend... with my co-pilot!

 

LOL!!! I wouldn't mind hosting a mid-winter party/gathering that could include swapping pictures (or compiling a CD or something) to help us relive the past few years and get ready for next year's driving season. We'll have to keep that in mind this winter.
