Default Need AZ Z's for a video shoot for the DVD

I could sure use some Z's for the upcoming video shoot next weekend. Sat. the 18th or Sun the 19th. not 100% on the date yet.

It will be shot out at an abandoned airport near Queen Creek.

The shoot shouldn't take more that 2-4 hours. I'm not sure yet on the shots but if we get a Z or two I'll figure it out.

For more info on the DVD being produced go to:

email me at automotionfx@imagedv.com if your interested in using your Z for the DVD

to those who are going or want to go.....

Here's the details.

The shoot will be this coming Saturday at 8am.

Location is Rittenhouse Airfield.

Shoot will last until about 10am.

I was hoping for a better location, but under the time constraints It's all I could get.

There is a runway that has about a 1/4 of useable runway. The rest of it is rougher than I would have hoped for.

If nothing else I'd just like to get some group shots and maybe one or two of you would be willing to do a one on one 1/8 mile drag with my Z.

After our stuff is shot I'll be flying my plane over the runway in a low pass drag racing someone driving in my Z. I'll be doing several passes as my cameraman gets the shots needed. You're more than welcome to hang out and watch while we do that....

Directions to the airfield follow.

Take US60 to Ironwood.

Go south on Ironwood (several miles) to Ocotillo.

Take Ocotillo east all the way until it ends at a 90 degree turn to the right.

When you get to that end you will see that Ocotillo continues into a dirt road.

Take the dirt road about 100 feet to a fence off to your left. The dirt road is very mild. I have taken my Z there a couple times. If you go slow it's perfectly fine.

I will be waiting at the fence for you guys. The property is US Gov't property that the Air Nat'l Guard sometimes uses. We should be ok to use it. I go out there alot and practice landings in the plane and rarely see anything, but there's always the chance they will be using it. If that should happen I'll have a back-up place to go not too far away.

Past the fence the road to the runway is gravel but it is in good condition. At 10mph or so the Z does great, but I want you to be aware it's not perfect asphalt.

Once we get to the smooth section of the runway it's not bad at all.

I'd also like to get a general opinion on possibly doing an Apache trail run directly after the shoot. I'd LOVE to get a line of 3 or 4 Z's driving up the trail to Canyon lake with a group shot at the Canyon Lake vista pull-off.

If this is something you guys can spend an extra 2 hours on I really think it would help pull the DVD together. Of course I'll be giving all of you credit in the DVD as well as a complimentary copy.

All in all if you can do the Apache trail run the shoot would be from 8am until about noon or maybe 1pm.

Please RSVP if your going to make it to the airport and let me know what you think about the Apache Trail run.

Your interest in this is GREATLy appreciated!

Default CANYON LAKE RUN

OK... the shoot is going to be at 9am. we are driving up the Apache Trail towards Canyon Lake.

I need as many Z's as possible.

I sure hope there's time to get a few of you guys/gals out there.

We will probably run up to the Canyon Lake vista point and back down. May do it twice to get the shots I need.

All who can make it will get a DVD when it's ready as well as credits in the end...

by the way... the DVD isn't even done yet and it's selling like crazy....

We will meet at the gas station right at the Canyon lake/Apache Trail junction. right were you turn to start heading to the lake.

meeting at 9AM... will wait until 9:15 and then we are off.

call me with questions
