Drove by a Sonic last night federal just south of 104th and there was a huge meet last night. I thought it was just a bunch of highschool kids showing off their cars mommy and daddy bought them so I didn't stop and proceeded to the gym. On the way back there were a sh*t load of cars. I get an email today from my RX-7 buddy saying I should go next Friday. Any of you guys know about this.

 

That Sonic has been a traditional place for non-make-specific meets for several years. I think they stopped meeting there for awhile after some trouble with the cops, but it sounds like they've picked it up again.

 

There was a truck that drove over a few people at the sonic just north of 96th on federal.

 

I'm gonna go check it out this friday, anyone else wanna role up with da Z?

yeah i've been going off and on to that meet over the years. usually some nice domestics show up and every once ina while a nice import (but it's mostly rice). There's also the 108th & colo blvd meet going on the first saturday of every month.

 

There should be some really fast cars this weekend. I think the meet off of 108th and Colorado got shut down, if not let me know.

I actually went there again for a few minutes last night... there are some pretty cool people that hang out there, but very few Z's. As a matter of fact the only one I've seen there is thegr8one99's. We should really try and get some more Z owners out there next week.

 

I dont know if it will be going anymore, last Friday there were some guys that were tripping on mescaline or somthing like that, that were starting fights. Well they went overboard and punched some guy in the side of the head, and threatened people with big stones. Well the cops were called on it, so who knows if it will be shut down next week. If it ends up being shut down we should find a spot that we can hang at on Friday or Saturday nights. I know of some meets on Sunday in the Denver area too if those work for you guys.

 

Man that sucks, I guess there's always a group of idiots that ruin things for everyone else... if you know of a decent spot to hang out let me know, I'm down.

 

Come hang out with me on Friday nights at Bandimere. No fights and lots of fun. If you come when my wife isn't there (which is alot) I will even get one person in for free. If you want to race thats up to you.

I might just do that, what time on Friday's do you usually head up there?

 

I am usually there by about 4pm. But I am there until later in the evening, usually 10pm or later. I'm not hard to find, I'm the only Lemans Sunset Z in the place.
By the way I will be there this Friday, but this isn't on every Friday. In fact after this week we have a few weeks off.

Anyone up for a trip up to Sonic tonight?

I'm meeting a friend @ Target on 80th & Wadsworth at 7:00 pm and then we're heading up to Sonic. I'll be in my white 350ZR if you happen to stop by. My brother's taking his black Supra up there too.

Hopefully the turnout is good, and the weather stays nice!
