Kevin, I was going to go up for the night session on Weds. for some more practice as I got rained out Friday night, but I know have a guy scheduled to come and give me a bid on a concrete patio I am having done. Sorry, but I will miss this one.

If you want to wait, I was going to try and plan a test night for some of the guys here if you are interested sometime later this summer.

Come up anytime I am there alot. Theres a real cool class that if you wanted to race in starts at the end of the month. It's on about 5 different Saturdays from now till Sept. so it won't take much of your time.

If you are interested in the competitive side of drag racing let me know and I will give you more details.

Looks like you need some pratice Kevin. LOL Its all good. My 1st run ever in my Evo was like a 16's and I could never break 14.5 up here (6k+ feet). Get that 60' down and you'll be a lot faster.

I think that says a 2.28 60ft? Picture is small.
If thats right I do that in my stock Z. Kevin, if you get that down your ET will increase alot. It just takes practice and getting used to launching the car. You will get it!!!

Here are links to the two classes I race in. These will kind of tell you what the classes are all about. There are many other classes/events that you can race in as well. If you have any questions just ask them of me as that would probably be much easier.

Thanks Mudd. It looks like I've missed the start of both. Do you think it would be worth it for me to try to participate in one of the events or just come to a test and tune night to get my feet wet? Like I said before I've never dragged on a real track so I'm not sure what all is involved.

You still up in Brighton? I'm in Ft Lupton so maybe we could roll to Bandimere together one of these days.

Yes I am in Brighton still. If you wanted to head there together, thats great, but I usually take my car to work in the morning on race nights because I work about 20 mins from the track. That way I don't have to drive all the way back to Brighton to pick up my car and then drive all the way to Morrison again. I would drive back up this way with you though after a night of racing.

I think your best bet is to hit some test and Tunes to start. If you really like it then you can enter some events this year just to get the hang of it more with the goal of competing next year for points and racing the whole summer. That would be what I would suggest.
Just let me know when you might be thinking of going for a test & tune and I will see if I can make it. They are on almost any Weds night. Maybe we can drag some others out there as well.

That sounds good. I'll post something here when I figure out a date that will work. Thanks for the advice.

I was at a "bug in" this weekend and was watching the races. Man I am gonna go on a Wednesday night sometime soon. I have never been before so have no idea what I am doing so welcome all newbies! I read on their site you don't need to wear a helmet if your car runs 14 or second 1/4 mile. Anyone down to join me any Wednesday...COME ON!!!!! Will? Kevin? anyone?!
