Sorry for the late notice but here's the invitation to all (brings friends and family if you wish):

My community is having a firework show for July 4th so I'm teaming up with friends and neighbors to host a "I'm proud to be an American" day.

Here's the plan:

1. An Hawiian Kalua (Luau) style will be the main course. Fire for the pit starts at 6am (which will kick off the event) and the pig will roast in the pit for over 12 hrs!.....yummmm)

2. Neighbors will BBQ beef/chicken as will I. I will also be offering raw and grilled oysters for those seafood lovers. (If there's anything else you wish to BBQ, just bring it and we'll be more than happy to make some grill space)

3. Poker tournament! $25 buy in. Price may change but won't exceed $25.

4. I live on the Green Valley Golf Course so if its not busy, we might sneek on to play a few holes or pratice your chipping, putting etc... so bring your clubs

5. Plenty of rural roads to strecth out your Z's legs.....just don't tell me you're doing it!

6. And of course, the Firework show!

If you plan on bringing friends/family let me know so we can plan for the food.

Last social event, a drunk/stupid/arrogant neighbor showed off his illegaly owned 45 cal. revolver and shot off a live round with ppl standing by. He's not invited to any future events and has been shunned from the community.

 

Damn that sounds fun...... Too bad I have to visit family in Nebraska!!!! I really hate that state.....

DAMN IT! My work just forced-volunteer me to work an off-duty gig on July 4th that night!

So I'll have enough time to prepare the food but when its time to eat, I have to be at work! (7PM - 7AM)

Wow! That sounds like a blast! My best friend is getting married to a girl he met in Costa Rica that day and I am best man. Maybe if they get in a huge fight before then......

So here I am, I spent all night and morning preparing for the pig. And now that its ready to be eaten, I'm sitting here at work playing security guard for a storage yard!
