Question OMG! It smells! It smells real bad!!!!

So last night on the way home I nailed an already dead skunk. I would have avoided it if I saw it in time, but nope I hit that sucker really hard. Before I came home I stopped by a car wash, picked out the chunks and sprayed off the car. This morning I walk out to the car, and it STILL smells. I looked all over the car, and there isn't anything left of the poor guy on the car. Anyway to get rid of the smell short of dumping tomato juice all over the car?

did u use the high pressure wax at the car wash, sometimes the soap and wax have strong smells at the one I go to, don't know if it would help, just an idea. Febreze always gets the bong water out of the carpet at my house, too bad that won't work for this situation--

Believe me this isn't the smell of wax. It is the smell of a skunk!

Maybe pull your front clip off and clean the radiator and other things that might have gotten splattered really well.

I saw an episode of mythbusters once where there was some liquid that neutralized the skunk smell. Forgot what it was called though

from mythbusters--

Tomato juice: plausible
Beer (MGD): busted
Douche: busted
Hydrogen peroxide + baking soda + liquid dish soap: confirmed
Commercial skunk remover: confirmed (not as good as custom mix above)

I just didn't want you to buy up all the feminine hygiene products then finding out they won't work.

LOL!!!!!

Sucks for your ride, I had a friend actually hit a skunk and kill it with his Neon. We cleaned everything we could get to, but it still ranked for several weeks. The scent just lingers. Good luck with the homebrew scent remover.

Darrel knows cause at times he's had some questionable ***** over in his bed at his house and he must have perfected the art of removing that stank the hoes left there on the bed sheets .
