man this f*kin circuit city f*cked up last night in newport.....so f*kin gay

circuit city in newport beach annoucned taht they were not going to let anyone get in line till 3 am, when i got there at 10 pm, there were max 12 people. called up my homies all got here chill...security said no1 gets in line till 3...by 2 oclock there 300 people inteh middle of the street infront of circuit city just waiting and walking closer and closer and clsoer to the front doors. it was out of control mayhem. so unorganized, unbelievable. security called PD 3 different times. the 3rd time..well..they called reinforcements and well...it was not pretty. over 20 cop cars showed up, some big trucks too, cops from irvine even came. every1 was just telling every1 to leave and get the **** outta there before they get arrested..300 people soon turned in to about 50 lurkers. at around 330 me and my cuz are lurking around and go to talk to the cops to see whats going down. the cop says if he sees me and my cousin again hes gona arrest us, and hes seen us walking around and doesnt like it. i asked him if theres gona be a line at 4 and he said he doesnt know and doesnt care and it is cancelled for the night. me and cousin then go to our car, 10 mins later and drive by to see....a NEW line formed that the PD picked out....10 mins later! it was so fukin stupid..so we park go up there and theres like 22 people in teh line, and a crowd. we soon become 25ish in line. we waited from 345 to 6 am. the manager of the CC comes out, hands out 16 vouchers and leaves. the most unorganized, stupid, event ever. CC had no managerial skills whatsoever, plain stupid. even the cops were pissed off at em. all in all, stupid CC ruined the event.

I wish I had done that. Last I checked eBay this morning, a 60GB PS3 was about to sell at almost $3,500. Gamespot's pre-sale was the best way to do it; I just didn't find out in time and am kicking myself in the **** for it now.

not sure but i did some research. even though i think 2500 is a lot more then you should pay ever...

next shipment for ps3 to US is march. on our release date(today). we only got 200,000 compared to 400,000 as expected.

all pre-order slips got cut 40%, i think 10% of ps3's total are defective. Sony is actually losing money till about 2008 because of the price of blu-ray products. i think 1.8 billion dollars.

P.S. think about the NINTENDO WII , it owns. cheap, fun and different. also they said they will launch out enough units that anytime anywhere. you can pick them up. so go nintendo!

Hey usa, dont ever EVER trust pre-orders unless your #1. even then you on the edge because of the owner and the workers that work there.... wanting to get 1. My local gamespot store (walking distance from target) had pre-ordered slips from 15....they got 2... hah... anyways lets just say all those ppl that waited for pre-order slips were pissed.. i did this for the 360 and ps3. best advice is just get to a certain department place, early and ready to
camp.



OH and i did not ebay it. i got great offers from local people that really wanted this unit for christmas presents and such. and id rather have instant cash then weary bidders.

 

hey kourosh sorry to hear that your CC is really effing dumb. the one i worked at, was handling it real well. once we saw how many the max ppl that could wait in line ..(6).. we told the others to just pretty much go home and sleep in there nice bed.. also we didnt hand out vouchers till 6am on friday... but the managers kept looking at their faces to recognize em..

i have no clue... how i became such a leader but at target ... when i waited, the managers didnt give a rats *** about voucher system or who got 1. so i was like im not getting screwed over, so i started my own voucher system, i got a pen and paper, and name tags(sticky) and wrote down 1 by 1 , their place in line and name. ALL in ALL it made people calm and comfortable but like i said, i told the managers i did that for them for ease and such. but they were like "we can't use that, great idea though"... even though earlier i went to the bathroom and i heard the managers saying "wow they think that stupid list is going to get them a certain spot"

im not sure how hard it is to wait in other states but after 5pm over here in CO... it gets freezing...

and my gameforce buddy, he got i think 10? he kept 5 for himself because 5 were needed to be sold to other customers.

That is exactly what say; wait a couple of freaking months! I guess some people really want to make a profit though and I find no problem with that. Find a sucker who will pay 5-10 times the face value and laugh all of the way to the mod shop!
