The misconception alot of people have is you need to have the fastest car to be able to do this. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Spivey, I would encourage you to come out and give it a try, TT'd or not. Actually, you will fare better for the most part running N/A as the car usually will run more consistant and perform better for you overall.

Fine Mudd, you have sold me. As long as its a weekend thing though. Boss doesnt like me taking days off of work, already pissed about this coming friday for track day... Guess they need me at work, not really sure why heh.

On your first visit out, if you are registered or you register right there you can be teched for the whole season.
The only reason you would ne to be re-teched is if you make a major change to the car......i.e. going F?I or something like that.
Andrew, another thing, you can just register on your first trip out there this season and get it all done no problem if you don't want to go out ahead of time. Registering in advance just makes the whole process less of a hassle on your first visit if you like that kind of thing like me. I hate running all over when I am racing, it rattles my mind.

Glad we sold you. Now if we can just sell Sean, Kevin, Eric @ Boulder Nissan and all these other members on doing more then just the test and tunes and come out for the competitive racing we would be a dominant force against all these STI's and Honda's.
As for selling you a little bit more, I have won 3 season championships with cars that never ran quicker then 16.50 et's. So that will show you that you don't have to be the quickest to win a race.
Lastly,
I thought about setting something up where we could have a race within a race. It would be for the local 350Z/G35 community and we could all race each other to crown a grand champion. They usually run these kind of things concurrently with another of the Friday night events.
There would be a cost involved, but it would just be for fun and bragging rights and also a way to have a fun meet together.
Would anyone be up for something like that?

Thought I might also add a note about a rule change this year per NHRA.
If you have added any sort of non factory equipped F/I setup you will need to wear a fire jacket as part of your safety equipment. You can find these on Summitt or Jegs for less then $100, or more if you go fancy.
Don't forget a helmet will be mandatory as well if you are running 13.99 or quicker. Stock you won't have to worry, but if you are F/I you will need this.
Lastly, if you are the Apex Jet # 2 there is a whole laundry list of items needed before that beast is going to be running down the track. For you my friend, the NHRA Rulebook will be your best friend as there are a few more specific things you will need to do when you start ruinning in the 10's like I suspect you will. Especially if you put her on some slicks.

Hi guys, Eric and I took a look at the schedule and should be good to go to most of the friday night events. However, we will be racing in pueblo for the first event at Bandimere so we will have to miss that one. We are also planning on going to the wed. all day t@t I believe on the 25th of april. Should be alot of very quick Z's out running this year. Hopefully we can all meet up at the all day t@t. Jason

There is also another guy that runs friday nights that as far as I know isn't on this board that usually shows up so thats another.
