Anyone stop by the show yet? My best friend is in town for the week and we're planning to head down tomorrow evening and I just want to make sure I won't be wasting my time.
Also, my dad was going to head down for a bit trying to scope out his next car which he'll be buying sometime this fall, anyone have any suggestions of cars I should make sure he checks out? He drives a 2005 bmw 545i now and likes it except for the transmission being garbage for everyday driving.

Hey Andrew,
Have any interest in going tomorrow night? I might still be able to go tonight, but something has come up here at work that might force me to miss tonight. Tomorrow might be easier for me. Let me know what you think.

Interestingly enough, the Nissan and Infiniti exhibits were worth going to and shows how GOOD the overall lineups are (in comparison to other car lines). The new Altima and '07 Z were worth revisiting. I enjoyed seeing the expression of what I'd describe as 'modern, progressive luxury' on the Infiniti stand, as contrasting with 'old world' standards as put forth by Jag, MB, BMW, etc.
Hey, we're gearheads- this won't be a waste of time for any of us!
Here's a few pics.. I took about 400 pics, but for some reason, the lighting was messing with my autofocus and didn't feel like manually focusing them.
Ford Interceptor... it's quite "badassness" with looks like a frickin' boat. Supposed to be Ford's answer to the 300C

Shelby Gt-something...? It had a foam interior, so it's a concept I'd guess?

Millen's car... pretty cool.

This is quite possible the COOLEST frickin car I've ever seen. It's truly amazing in person. I'm in LOVE WITH IT! (yes, enough to convert me to a "domestic guy" even with my big-*** "Z" tattoo on my arm.)

GuesS?

Droooooool...

For being $362,000, this car is FRICKIN HUGE! (Over 20 feet long)

This R8 is absolutely gorgeous in person... and w/the lambo V10 it'll be a steal at 110k MSRP.

New G35 Sedan-S sport model (which I now can't fit in G35's!!!! This new sedan is SMAAAAAAAAALLLLL!) I love the gauges though.

Evo... which being 6'7" 320lb I fit in...amazedly..

That's all you get for now.

I went today and i must say i was a bit let down and also was confused by some of the brands...
BMW: Not one single M car present
Mercedes: Not an AMG to be found
Lotus: Leaves the car unlocked and then yells at you for getting in and having a seat.
Scion: Decided it would be better to bring 6 modified cars and one or two stock cars to the show
Dodge: Except for the viper, not a single srt vehichle present.
Now on the other hand, I left completely unsatisfied, there were a couple things that I really liked/ found amusing.
1. Mini Cooper Speedometers
2. Ford f-450.... badass ride
3. The fact that a mini cooper seems very roomy until you notice that the rear row of seats touches the front seats...
4. Audi TT and R8 =
5. I found that mustangs actually have a surprisingly nice interior.
6. The new Z engine with twin intakes
7. There were probably 20 different mustangs there and none looked the same.
Overall, i would say the show is worth the ten bucks, especially if you're looking to buy a (non srt, m or amg) car in the near future but it definitely could have been better.
