anyone ever be an extra in a movie, just wondering if it's any fun.

 

yea i was an extra in fast and the furious 3, transformers, and the tv show jag. they always have good catered food =D

i was an extra in miracle on 34th street when i was really young. you have to stand around for hours and deal with fussy kiddies

Last i heard this casting wasnt in the southwest... But it might just be me.

they filmed a movie where i used to work.... and i didnt want to be one.... i saw nicholas cage and keeanu reeves....but didnt know what the movie was about...

Heh, no guns, just cracks me up since this happens all the time. We get threads at least once a week. Makes me start to wonder if they are making people take geopgraphy lessons in cali or if there is some way to fast track past that. Gotta love it! Shame they never cast in Denver really. Last I heard was for "Things to do in Denver when your dead." Not really one of those movies where the title says sign up to be an extra huh?

I was once an extra for the NBC crime drama Homicide: Life on the Street. the standard rate around town back then was $75 for up to 8 hrs of work. I was however paid double that because my character was shot dead. Not bad for a then college student.
