April 7th Group Drive
As far as i know, every district i know of uses sand these days. Common myth that its road salt and chemical additives, least in cases of snow. That stuff gets expensive while the sand is cheap and has the grit needed to give drivers traction. Thats what they do around downtown at the very least and i know my friends in douglas and lakewood have said the same thing in the past.
Looks like shushikiary and i have a good mix of info, i found this with a quick google search. http://www.crgov.com/Page.asp?NavID=547
See, its safe! (And good for the planet too, why wouldnt you want it on the roads?) Heh. So bring the car out from hiding!

Bad news! http://www.hcn.org/servlets/hcn.Arti...ticle_id=14621 . Colorado has apparently lead the effort in Mag Chloride use.

Bleh, I will be there; Z or not.

They actually use that stuff on base, it's slicker than **** if it's not snowing yet. Thankfully the only place I run into it is on base. Never seen it elsewhere, maybe because I don't live near I70.
I honestly don't know what everyone is all scare of. I drove my Z for two seasons of snow including the our last winter! As long as you wash your Z afterwards you should be fine. If the snow melts and its just water, why is everyone scare?
I'm tire of pictures of shinny Zs, let get dirty Z pics.

Interesting... The only reason I know about it cuz it was on the news years ago and then they said it was supposed to be better for cars, however this:

says otherwise... I hope they figure this out, I dont want this on the road if it's going to cause more corrosion.
And yea, I drove my Z in the BIG snow storm we had back in december... the only issue you run into with the Z is ground clearance, I even had better traction with my snow tires and some front wheel drive cars with snow tires (I also had 200 lbs of sand bags in the back).

Sorry guys... but I'm not going to be able to make it. Have a guy at my job who's scheduled to work this weekend and cannot make it due to a family emergency; I will be working his shifts
It would have been nice to see everyone again, and all the new faces. I do miss you guys and maybe SOME DAY I'll be able to relax again with the best group of car lovers I know. Have fun at D&B's
