My wife used to live in Highlands Ranch just outside of town.
I loved it out there. Near the mountains and roomy. There are tons of new places out there to rent or buy. Awesome mountain driving too

350zbest,
Welcome. I moved to Denver about a year ago. Found a wonderful bunch of Z owners here in Denver area. And the roads are made for the Z's when the weather is warm. Certainly made my transition very pleasant. Your Z will be much slower here, but so is everybody else, except the ones with FI.

Ignore what you read, I have to say even the cops here are not bad. They have their flaws, but not bad.

In terms of rentals, there are lots around, all depends on what you looking for. Incidentally, I have been looking for a place for the coming year. My landlord is selling.

Spivey,
Do you have any name or contacts for rentals around the Governor’s Park? I’d like to check out that area too. Thank you.

Hey Henry, my girl said she thought she saw you at Heritage Creek looking around, id prob avoid that place if i were you IMO. As for places in my neck of the woods, tons, call me sometime, we can go apartment browsing, ill take you by all the good places as well as keep an eye out for homes. Also have some units for rent in my building i think, i can ask around.

ohw,

Thanks for the response. My first concern is, can I drive my Z during the winter in Denver. I know I cant up in the mountains but do you drive yours to work and so on during the winter? I won't be able to buy a second vehicle to drive during the winter, at least for the first year.

Second, I should be hearing from an employer this week to see if they want to hire me and have me come out for an interview. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. If I do get the job I think I'll be looking more for someone who wants a roommate than a place all to myself. I'll be trying to keep expenses down.

Hey Man, i drove mine in the winter last year, the key is good snow tires as people have said. Some roads wont be all that great since sometimes the trucks dig out ruts, so just take it slow and be careful. Its not the most fun, but it works. Do you have limited slip? That helps as well.

I had no problems driving my TT G35 in the snow last winter, WITH a good set of snow tires. Mine are Dunlop Winter Sport M3's; there are others as well.

I recommend buying a set mounted osome cheap wheels, and then you can just switch them out when the winter season starts. In fact, I just switched ine out today.

Spivey,
She may have seen my car, my wife is using it to look for next home. Thanks for the tip, Heritage Creek is out. Just tried calling you, your phone must been changed.

350zbest,
I don't drive my Z in the winter at all. I walk to work. Last winter was really bad here in Denver with lots of snow. From what the Denver people tell me, that was not normal. A set of winter tires will definitely help if you don't want to use a beater. I just bought another car to be used for this winter, so I can keep the Z inside during the bad days. As for a room mate, that won't work for me as my wife is here and my accommodations are paid by others any way. Thanks for asking.

New Z owner here, 1 week old, and I also bought a 2000 Ford Taurus for the winter. I plan on driving the Z year round, just not in snow. Here is my take on the snow.

If Denver has a bad winter, side streets are your biggest problem. If your renting you might not have side streets, or if your complex plows your fine.

Main artery's are almost always okay. And, if main artery's are not okay, your pretty much not going anywhere anyway. Same with the highway. Its really always plowed.

Either way, snow tires are a must.

Jalpert pretty much nailed it. I live on a sidestreet that thats almost always the only real problem since they NEVER plow it. Main roads are always ok. Ill say it one more time, ive got a perfect set of snow tires for sale heh. Buy now before it gets to late! Oh, and get on MHZ!
