Can anyone recommend a good shop near Denver?
Hey guys!!
Well, I've been browsing the forums for some time now trying to learn as much as I can, as I've been shopping around for 350Z (not going for anything right off the bat, I'd rather wait around a bit to see if the 'right' one turns up, especially since the 370 is coming out).
Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone can recommend an experienced 350Z or Nissan shop around Denver (or in any of the surrounding states, if necessary). I'm planning on eventually turbocharging the car, so finding a good shop would be a huge aspect of whether or not I go through with the project. I know some people can push as much as 450, even 500WHP on a stock engine if tuned by the right people (not that I'd want to do that, it's just an example). However, I've also heard horror stories of engines blowing at just ~400 as the result of a poor tune. I'd be starting off with just the turbo kit, exhaust, mild suspension mods, and perhaps a new clutch, so I'd only be shooting for ~330RWHP @ ~6psi to start.... which doesn't seem like much, but considering the altitude that isn't too low. And the last thing I want is to blow the engine before I can build it well.
So, I'm just wondering if you guys have any good suggestions. I've been a customer at Import Sports Performance before, but they tend to focus more on the DSM / Civic market, and Racing Trendz has pretty ridiculous prices. From searches and browsing, the names "Speed Image" and "MAC Autosport" have come up once or twice, but they've only been mentioned momentarily, so I figured I'd ask.
Thanks in advance!!
Edit: Also, if there is a much better place to go in any of the surrounding states, I would be more than willing to drive a few hours if it means achieving a better tune.... however, the farther away I have to go, the greater the difference in elevation will be (and thus the tune may not be correct once I return), so I'd like to stay around Denver if possible.
Oh, and this last bit is completely off topic, but I saw this car on I-25 the other day:

And if the owner of that car happens to be a member here, well.... boy, do I wish I was you lol. Even though you have the car up on Craigslist
