That's a lot of tires Darrel. I wish I could start earlier, like 7am and keep on going till I drop. I enjoyed it that much. When I went home, I keeping having the image of bundling tires in my head and wanting to get back out and doing it.

Once I get going on something, it's really hard for me to stop until the job is done. I'm coming back out on the 15th of February.

That's what I was doing(one more stack) on friday and didn't stop till 4pm. Saturday I took it a little easier and quit at 3pm. The week before we had 2 truck loads come in and it took 2 hours to unload and sort 2k tires. We had at least 18 people out there then. Hopefully we'll get at least that many this friday and then be done with the tire deliveries.

I have been out there only 5 times, there are quite few that have been out a dozen or more. Putting in the time to help the track shows how much we want it. 14,000 tires is a lot to put together by the time the first wheels roll.

Yesterday was a good day. All the tires are now unloaded and we spent the day bolting together Goodyear blems to specific "recipes". By using certain sizes and putting the cut sides in particular locations, the tire walls will protect cars better and allow corner crews to do their jobs better!

HPR is a track designed by and for, racers!
