Hi guys,
I'll be traveling from DFW to the balloon festival the first week it starts.
My wife and I are renting an RV and my in-laws are coming with us. We already have RV reservations to park on the grounds.
Any recommendations? places to eat in town while were visiting?
I'm thinking were gonna get a 30 foot Class B RV, i think it is..
I appreciate it guys...

How long you guys gonna stay in ABQ?
Personally i like the prime rib at County Line, its at the base of the tram but i think they are open only for dinner this time of year.
Dos Hermanos breakfast burritos are freakin awesome! One just south of Jefferson and Paseo Del Norte, kinda hidden though.

im sure you will get a taste of the local vendors at the fiesta... then just go with what you seem to like..... dont forget the cones of mini cinnamon rolls at 5 am

Check out Garcia's for breakfast (OWNS) or lunch/dinner for that matter. Teofilos in Los Lunas if you feel like driven has great food. Either way eat lots of red & green chile!!!
You can always try Ponchos for the buffet style (although somewhat cheap but its like cheap good haha)

The Pinto is a good place for border/Mexican and good atmosphere. I always enjoyed dining on the patio. If you're looking for something up-scale, check out the Blue Star on the north end of town. Dinner on top of Sandia Peak was fun, but I don't recall the food up there as being spectacular, it's more about the location than anything else.
If you like wine tasting, there are several vineyards to visit. The aquarium is small but a nice venue. If you've never been to Albuquerque, then you should go to Old Town at least once. It's a tourist trap, but has lots of interesting South West art, clothing, etc.

Make you car rental reservations early, with the festival going on cars will be at a premium, also MAKE SURE TO NOT RENT A CAR AT THE AIRPORT. They have the BS rental return tax, someting like $12.00/day. while you in town I would hit up the casino's, either Isleta or Santa Ana, my faves, there are other casino's damn close also. Food somebody mentioned this great place:
Teofilos in Los Lunas if you feel like driving has great food, just 30 mins south of BurQue & a great place to see the balloons from also.
YOu can't go wrong with at the aquarium or the botanical park if you dig that kinda stuff. Best bet would be the Nat History Museum while in old town.
LAst & most important: if you are shooting filM (some still do) buy what you need before you get here & leave the processing till you get home. Don't get carried away shooting pics the 1st day, remember you still have the special shapes & local sites and close up that u probably won't get on the 1st morning.
Warm clothes, you have to understand at 5:30 - 6:00 in the alb. autumn morning is is muCHO cold, layers, you can always remove as nec.
Traffic sucks during the balloon events, some are held in the evening, plan accordingly for travel.
Contact: http://www.balloonfiesta.com/ they can probably provide you other vital assistance for your balloon experience.
Enjoy yourselves. http://www.newmexico.org/

Last friday night at the concert beers were $9.00 each & cheese hamburgers at TAOS are almost $9.00 each also. Sorry, it comes down to the rule of supply & demand. Remember I asked you to contact worldbaloon co. & ask if you could crew for them, this gets you close to the baloons & possible free or reduced price on a ride. Good luck

We only deal with the parking/tickets/security. As far as tickets though, I believe it's just ticket entry, not the rides.
