Default Branson Z Fest 2011 Dates Set

For those of you who need to schedule your vacations far ahead of time the dates for Branson Z Fest are June 1-5th. Many of us got down early to enjoy the scenery and fantastic roads ahead of time.

Keep an eye on www.bransonzfest.com for when more details are announced.

Also, if you are on Facebook there are two Branson Z Fest groups. Be sure to check them out.

We have attendees from Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona attend this. Why not join them?

The website www.bransonzfest.com is "on" however registration is not yet open.

If you've never been to a Branson Z Fest there are lots of videos and photos from past BZFs. It really gives you a good overview of the event. The Forum is open for posting.

Registration is now open!!!!!!!! www.bransonzfest.com

The hotel has just changed ownership and is in the process of hiring and training new employees so, for now, you can not make a hotel reservation. I'll keep you posted.

A new official activity has been added this year you may not be aware of. They will be doing an engine swap in the parking lot and dropping a TT into a Z32 convertible. From Facebook:

"Its OFFICIAL! The 300ZX NA / TT (in the parking lot) swap is ON. Think thats it is possible to swap a Twin Turbo engine into a 300ZX convertible during the event? How about if you are limited to a set of common tools? Still too easy? How about starting the process at the beginning of the first registration and having the car make a pass at the drag strip on Friday?

Additional details to follow. Stay tuned!"

If you haven't book a room yet don't delay! One of the hotels 3 buildings won't be available for Branson. That means there will be a very limited number of rooms!!

This taken from the Branson Z Fest Facebook page:

"PLEASE READ: I’ve heard from SEVERAL fellow meeting planners across every industry that there is a big scam going on these days. They particularly like to focus on social groups who use the Who/Where info and then they find phone numbers and call the attendees and say “Hey, I’m from *** hotel and we need to verify your credit card info. for the BZF” NEVER, EVER give out their CC information over the phone."

"Branson Z Fest To be 100% clear: WE HAVE HAD NO REPORTS OF THIS HAPPENING TO ANYONE IN OUR GROUP. We just thought it would be a good general reminder for everyone. Its ALWAYS best to be safe when dealing with credit card information."

From the BZF website:

"Please note: The free t-shirt offer will expire on 5/10. That means that the base $55 registration will NO LONGER include a FREE $20 T-Shirt. Thank you for your support of the event!"

Registrations are starting to pick up. Go to http://www.bransonzfest.com/, scroll to the bottom and click on whatever state on the map.

I hope to make this clearer than mud.

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...,0.055189&z=14

On the map look for location "A", Ramada Inn, 1700 West Hwy 76.

HOWEVER...the hotel may or may not still have the Ramada name on it. It has changed ownership and there was some question whether they would retain the Ramada name. At one point I was told the name would be Edgewood Inn.

The exit off US 65 may be marked "76 Hwy", "Country Blvd.", "Main St." or some combination.

At some point you'll come to a traffic light and will see Dick Clark's theater across the intersection on your left. The hotel is just past that...again on your left.

OK! I just spoke with Sheldon and he indicated the "Ramada Inn" sign will still be on the hotel.

There is still time to register and get in on the fun at Branson Z Fest. I know of at least one Z from New Mexico and one from Phoenix coming. I hope to see you there.
