Default VR/NASA Road Race in AZ

Dec 6 and 7 NASA of Arizona is putting on another awesome event at the huge Arizona Motorsports Park. The 2.5 mile track is one of the best around and is a blast. Free go, money to race, fun to watch. Vivid Racing and entourage will be out on Dec 6 racing their cars. Come check out the EVO VIII, RX8, and WRX II!

If you want to run the event they have very diverse classes from the full racers with experience, to instructional courses. You get 5 35 minute runs on the track and your car DOES NOT have to be modified. All you need is you and your car, helmets are provided if you do not have. Come on out and have a blast with the Vivid Racing Team.

If you want to register, Vivid Racing saves you $10 and all you have to do is put a Vivid Racing sticker on your car for support for the day.

Just download the form here -

If you do not have a NASA license it is a one time fee of $35. One day of racing is $129.99 with the Vivid Sticker and remember it is FREE to watch and we do give out RIDES!!!

See you there...

Is this event really a road race? As an SCCA National racer, I've heard of Arizona Motorsports Park and would love to race there someday.

However, without any safety equipment I doubt that NASA would be sanctioning races. Did you mean to say that this will be a HPDE with single-file, no-passing (except on the straights) type of event?

Or will there be some classes with full door-to-door competition as well?

there are different classes to meet all different abilities. If you've never been to AMP before it is required to take a few laps with an instructor just to be sure your safe and have a good feel for the course. The entry level class does allow passing only in the straights.
