Default I do NOT suggest going to Earnhardt Nissan in Mesa!

I have had it with them. I have taken my car there 7 times for malfunctioning windows.

The auto up and auto down feature when you open and close the doors is not working yet again... for the 7th time! Every time I take it to Earnhardt a month later the windows don't work again.

I called my service advisor there today and told him they need to get this fixed once and for all and that I'm tired of going in every month because they can't figure out how to fix it.

I was told that my "attitude as a customer" was less than desireable.

WHAT?! I can't be frustrated because they can't get thier **** together?

I was also told by the same service guy that the reason my hatch won't release on the first try is because I have a spoiler on it.

What kind of BS is that?

I've had it with them..... time to find somewhere else.

Sorry to hear of your bad experiences at Earnhardts. I've been there a few times, most recently for TSB work (front tire roar, window grease, and Bose amp). So far they (Robert Ballard I beleive) have treated me pretty good. I wish I had some advice for you as I've been to B&B Nissan on Broadway and I thought the service advisers had a bad attitude so I was happy to try Earnhardts.

Good luck with your windows and you're right about the hatch release, unless you have a GT wing, I think their explaination is bull, I mean No Bull!

I had this problem. Can you tell me what they have done to fix it? Thoroughbred in Tucson finally figured out that the entire motor/electronics assembly needed to be replaced because the motor was not holding memory. They tried several times to 're-program' the window, then finally they replaced the motor.

I also have the problem with the trunk not opening correctly sometimes.

I can't really tell you about service in the Phoenix area, but there are alot of dealerships up there, so just keep trying different ones. If you need help with the window problem, PM me.

Every service center in AZ that I have been to sux. They all say the same thing "The problem you are having is due to aftermarket parts" Funny the guy at Pinnacle told me that when I told him my seat was clicking.

That's a good one!

I must say that through all the problems with my car Thoroughbred in Tucson is the best dealership for service that I have ever dealt with. Of course, that doesn't help all you folks in the Phoenix area. In fact when I was having tire feathering problems I flat out told them I drove the hell out of my car and they still helped me out!

We actually bought our Z at Earnhardt's in East Mesa. Aimee Boston is a pushover, tell her that Glenn and Tonia sent you if you need to get a vehicle.
Anyway... the services advisors, so far, don't seem that inviting. But, we come from 3 eclipses and dealing with the same service advisors for nearly 5 years, so anyone new will take some getting used to.
I have been told by a couple of advisors that the struts used for the hatch have to be changed out even if you go to the spoiler for the Track model... so, with that info, the normal ones are barely able, at best.
Anyway... we have some parts on order: new guage lenses rearview mirror (vibrates at cruising speeds) and some window rubber (see my previous post about this). this was about 5 weeks ago and...
The lenses they ordered were the wrong ones and the window rubber has yet to come in. I don't know if it is the dealership or NMA, but it is not looking too good yet.
Although they did take out that crap aftermarket alarm system that drove me nuts and re-enable the factory one so we have all the functions of it. They did that with no questions asked and gave us another factory remote for free.

I've had to wait up to 6 weeks for window parts from Earnhardt before.... what happened was my advisor Rob forgot to place the order for the parts... I caught his a$$ in that lie when I spoke to NNA.... they tracked that particular order down and the date on the order was the SAME day that I had called him to ask where the hell my parts were.... which was 2 weeks after he was supposed to have ordered them.

he lied to me by telling me that the shipment was lost by UPS and then he promptly placed the order with Nissan that very day.

lying bastard..... Rob Estes is his name and he's a complete phuckwad *****.

No one spectacular in the area....but I have dealth with Juan at Scottsdale and he is fair. Also the service guys at Brown&Brown in Mesa seem pretty cool.

Moving to Red Mountain area next month so I guess Ill stay away from Earnheardts.

I can give you two suggestions as I work at a dealership (not Nissan) and my wife was Service Manager at 3 Nissan dealers and 2 Infiniti dealers and is now managing a different manufacturer.

Use either-

Nissan of Scottsdale
get with Juan and request Jeff Leitner to work on the vehicle

ABC Nissan
get with Randy Hall and request Walt Edwards to work on the vehicle

Make sure you tell them that Kerry Robinson's husband Mike recommended you to them. If they think you're a friend of ours they won't screw you around, they love Kerry.

If you're really having that hard of a time getting your problems with the vehicle resolved, contact me at work @ 602-433-3707 and I can have my wife make a phone call to let them know your situation and that you'll be bringing your vehicle in.

I've sent numerous people to these guys all with very good results. I founded the Arizona Xterra Club three years ago and the majority of our group uses them after having the same type of repair woes you're dealing with now. We also have our club meetings at the Scottsdale dealer. You can talk to Bob McGinnis, the assistant Service Manager and a great guy, over there and he will make sure the repair process is handled properly.

Just don't mention anything about Kerry and a 350Z, she doesn't know I bought it for her birthday yet and it's still a surprise, thanks.

Good luck.

Congrats on your new purchase. I got mine last year as an Xmas gift. It was a total surprise.

Earnhardt is the absolute worst dealership/dealerships of all time. Avoid them at all costs. I've had numerous bad experiences with them, and so have friends and family.

I had pretty bad luck at Earnhardts. I took in my Z to get lo-jack. The first time they told me their phone system was down. The 2nd time they told me their account with Lo-Jack was canceled (they bought me a tank of gas) the third time they said they said it would only take 30 minutes, an hour and a half later they said they were having an issue and that I could continue to wait, come back a 4th time or leave the car there. So I left the car there and they gave me a loaner. They ended up buying me another tank of gas and gave me a free oil change.

Jim Click in Tucson is really nice. Talk to JB. I've had to take mine in several times for different stuff. I always get treated very well. Good luck.
