Don't tempt me!

If the roads aren't wet I may be able to go. Post up a time, meeting place, etc.

LOL...you crack me up Jon. Seriously though, my vote is for a leisurely cruise through Santiago with a brief "Hot" section up over Modjeska. Either way, Im in.....call it.

Sho,
It was done Dec. 15. Still have a few things that they ordered wrong like kick plate, weatherstripping pins and a right rear rotor that had a deep scratch in it that they missed. Other than that, they did a great job!

Meet up place will be at the corner of Jamboree and Chapman/Santiago Canyon........from anywhere in OC, take the 5fwy to Jamboree Rd in Tustin and head north for about 5 miles on Jamboree. When you get to Chapman/Santiago cross street, the parking lot where we will meet is on the SW corner. I think its a great idea, Ive always wanted to run that canyon with a club!! Ill start the list. Say, 9am or so?

i think 9 am might be a little too late. i was thinkin we meet up around 7 45-8 so that way we can get going by 8 15-8 30. cuz remember, the earlier it is, the less cars will be on the road slowing us down...and plus some of my buds have to work that day at around 11 so i wanna do it as early as possible if thats ok with everyone

Maybe you could post a thread on some of the other boards...WRX...EVO...NSX ect

By the way, maybe we should delay the run till next weekend since it looks like it will rain all this weekend That will give some of the other guys some notice and it should be a bigger group.

Santiago is not really all that exciting of a drive.

Now, if you stop at Silverado Canyon Road and go down it, that is much more fun!

I just really don't recomend it unless you drive that every day. Plus the roads are VERY narrow, and straying out of the lanes either means you eat sandstone rock facing, or get to play dukes of hazards...

Santiago for the most part is an access road for local residents.

It's a scenic drive that I enjoy taking when travelling from Orange to Aliso Viejo. I don't reccommend it as a 'run' for a large group of drivers, since I'm sure a few drivers won't be able to check their ego's at the start.

Lastly, I placed flowers there last year, in remembrance of a passenger in a BMW who died when a 'run' resulted in a crash on that road. That wasn't fun to do, and I'd prefer not do that again.

Sorry if I bummed anyone out, but I would just prefer this road not be used for group runs.
