well, comparing lap times from cal speedway. i think my z was a much better runner than your evo. i was roughly ahead of your fastest lap by around 7 or so seconds...until my car started to ping later in the day.

I freely admit, if that is true, that you are a better driver than I. The cars head to head are no comparison.

Anyway, about THIS thread, found the LA show kinda disappointing. No z06, and a few other things I expected. Like the new S4 alot tho...
I loved the aftermarket hall, especially the drivertise booth

There was also A driver for Dodge's drift team in the Dodge section.

Hehe, we actually saw Eric Estrada sitting on a police bike in the aftermarket hall... I was like, "hey, that looks like the guy from... Wait a minute!"

Yeah, some of the best stuff wasw in the aftermarket hall... Couldn't even see a wheel on the Ford GT in the ford area, but there was nobody near the one in the aftermarket area.

There was a sweet S1 Lotus Exige with a turbo honda motoro in it, too....

Hey! I saw Eric Estrada sitting on the bike too! haha...

Good show. I only went to the exotics and the aftermarket hall. Best car there was the yellow F430 and that metalic orange Murciélago.

That Exige was nice. 0-60 in 2.6 seconds?!? Wow.

I'll be at Buttonwillow Raceway with RacerFactor.com this weekend, Jan. 15 & 16. Sosa will be there in his modded 350Z. Any of the rest of you coming out? We can settle it there.

i wish i could, but i'll be snowboarding in tahoe heheh
i never really threw out a challenge to you, but i was just merly pointing out the fact that the evo will not run circles around a properly driven Z.

anywho, i went to the carshow yesterday. was pretty impressed with the new infinity m45. i liked the new saleen mustang, but the live axle rear turned me off. there wasnt anything too exciting this year.

I'd go to Button, but it wouldn't be fair.
I also have plans this weekend.

Am I the only one that noticed the MB SLR? I thought that was the highlight of the whole show. Other than that the show seems to get a bit worse every year. I spoke to this gal in the Ford booth and asked her what the show in Detroit is like. She said that there's really no comparison. The Detroit show is where all manufacturer's go all out. She said Ford had a 2 - level display with escalators at the show last week. Sounds pretty cool if you ask me. (given it's their own backyard) Anyone ever been to that show?
