Every time it rains, potholes keep poppin up. I'm sure nobody cares about the small potholes but I am referring to those big enough to damage your bling bling wheels! Pls feel free to add on to the list.
1. 2/19/05 Gardena
Redondo Beach Blvd west bound off of HWY 110 before Normandie. Watch out for a big pot hole in the middle lane.

New sighting...
I hit this SOB yesterday while trying to make my way home from work. Nearly burst my tire (was travelling at ~25-30 mph).
Location: Grand Ave in Santa Ana on the Northbound side just North of Edinger.
It's on the #3 lane by the side walk and is pretty nasty.

I nailed one on the 170N to the 5N in the number one lane on the way home from the auto show (although I think it's been filled - but watch out). It was about 11:30 pm, and it was pouring, so the hole was obscured by standing water and darkness. The horrible bang was followed by a tug to the left and then the unmistakable flap-flap-flap and vibration.
The big brakes on the Cougar make it impossible to use the spare on the front, so any flat tire at the front requires that I move a rear wheel to the front and put the spare on the rear. Simple enough, if a bit more work. The wheels use an allen-head type lug nut, and of course one split wide open in the deep recess of the hole in the wheel while an attempt to remove it was made with the lame-*** tool they give you (why not an allen - and why didn't I upgrade it myself?!)!
So, I had to call AAA for a tow truck and have it dragged all the way to Valencia, where it sat for four weeks until I had enough time to get everything fixed (including the bent wheel).
