I organized a GB on the Lambo Door kit from www.verticaldoors.com about 8-9 months ago. You may want to contact them. The price I got was $1050 and we had over 20 members. That was when the kit was new and was selling for about $1800 though.

If you get them, DO NOT BELIEVE IT when they tell you that the install is a simple bolt on 4 hour job! Not gonna happen.

Read my thread on this for all the info and the pics.

Good Luck!

Flimsy? They are anything but flimsy. The hinges alone weigh like 40 lbs. They are THICK steel. Couldn't bend them if you tried.

You realize that the kit is just the hinges don't you? You don't get new doors. You just put the new hinges onto the body of the car and then your stock doors go onto them.

My install included painting them to match my car (they are flat black otherwise) and came to $1000.00 It was about 20 hours of total labor.

I would be interested but 1000 bucks for some brackets is ridiculous, 300.00 makes more sense. Parts for jet aircraft are cheaper!

Sooooo....

what you're saying is that it's not a "do at home" install??

Not at MY home anyway.

I would say that if you have bodywork experience you could do it with some help.

The key to the install was fitment. The kit isn't bad (probably the best fitting one out there for this car) but it still isn't perfect and DEFINITELY NOT a simple "bolt on".

You have to balance it so that the door sits flush with the front fender and the rear fender.

You have to balance it so the space between the front of the door and the front fender is the same as the space between the back of the door and the rear fender.

You have to either roll or cut the front fender to accomodate the air shock that lifts the door up.

You have to round off the shoulder bolt on the hinge/shock so it doesn't ding the inside of the fender.

I don't have the experience or the tools to do any of this.

Again, read the thread I posted on this. It is loaded with information that ANYONE considering these doors should read.
