I think it depends on the dealer. Some dealers submit the paperwork to the DMV faster than others.

The tempt tags should be good for about 3-6 months (California). Then again, the Z looks better without plates.

I agree but my concern is if the dealer screwed up on my registration then I will not get my plates and the car is still under dealerships' ownership. I dont have time to goto the dmv during weekdays and would need to find out which saturday the local dmv is open. Which means I have to spent time fixing this situation and that would suck.

Give your dealer a call. See if they submitted the paperwork to the DMV. They'll probably tell you that it can take up to 90 days for your plates to arrive.

I looked at the temp tag, the piece of paper they sticked on the windshield. There is no expiration. Are you sure it is valid for 6 months?

Mine took about a month. I've known people who have driven with the temp tags for about a year. After about a month, the printing fades anyway and become unreadable. Of course, they don't drive cop magnets like the Z, though.

I'm pretty sure the temp tags are 6 months, but usually the plates come within 2 months to even worry that far.

Yah, the plates should of been here by now. My brother baught a car last year and it came just over a month. It has been over 2 months now for mine. Starting to think if the dealer screwed up on paper work. Wouldnt surprise me if they diid.
