Vertical Doors
While vertical doors aren't my bag, I saw an interesting kit on a Z at the Geneva Auto Salon earlier this week, and I thought I'd share. The kit is from a company called LSD Solutions (www.lsd-doors.com), and their kit allows regular or vertical operation of the doors. It looks like they use different materials from some of the other kits I've seen. According to their site, they released the Z kit in February.
Could you tell if this kit allows for full "normal" operation and also vertical?
One of the more popular kits opens "normally" for a few degrees and then has to go up. It would be kind of nice to just use the doors regularly for day to day use, and then go vertical for shows or just to be different.

It looks basically the same as mine (vertical doors kit) The hinge looks very similar. I can open mine normally about 50 degrees or so and I can get in and out easily without going vertical. In fact I do this more often then not.

That is my car.
By the way, after 9 months I think the struts are losing some of their charge. They hold the doors up, but it takes a little more lifting effort than I'd like.

I went to their site using the link that Scott included in the first post of this thread. All the questions being asked are pretty much answered at their web site. The kit costs a little over two grand, so it is definately not cheap.
