Damn right it's far. Try dating an OC girl and having to drive down there at least once a week... sucks!

That said, i'm down for weekend meets in OC. Hooters in Burbank is walking distance from where I work, so a weekdays there is a plus for me!

Another good spot in the valley is the encino plaza on ventura. Theres a rubio's grill, chili's, daphnie's and 'the habit' for burgers. Large parking lot but usually gets packed late at night.
