the you guys think it would be fair to split the winnings if we won the showcase show down, because we all put the effort to go to get somebody on the show.

I don't know the answer to that right now... let me put things in perspective.

1. We would all have to sign a contract or something.
2. Average showcase is about $25-30k right? But, that value is the MSRP of the prizes you won. You cannot take a cash equivalent of the prizes, so any prizes that you don't want to keep you must sell. And if you are selling them, you will not be getting MSRP. So, divide the actual selling value by 20 people, and we are talking about $400-500 a person. Is it really worth it to split up one person's winnings for $500?
3. They give away vacations frequently, and I'm not sure if you can even transfer a vacation package to another individual.
4. The only "pro" argument I can think of for splitting the winnings is the following: they always put the most enthusiastic, hyper person from your group on the show. Now, people's personalities aren't going to change overnight just because they're going on a TV show, so shy people don't have a chance at being selected.

Personally, I think it would just be fun and cool to be there, and if someone won the showcase showdown, I say lucky you!

Enjoy the winnings, but if someone from our group like REALLY wants something (I dunno, like a furniture set) then give it to them or sell it for cheap.

I know there are people who make a living doing gameshows, but I think sitting in on the Price is Right is more for the cheesiness and fun factor right?

Might be interested, but have to check if it will invalidate my chances to try out for Jeopardy in October.

I believe it does if you're selected; there are rules, one game show appearance a year.

I unfortunatley have to say I am 50/50 at best. Coming up from San Diego on a work day will be tough but once a date is set I will be able to work on it. Thanks.

It would be great to go, sounds like a lot of fun and I "Likethatbobbarker!" Remember when he dropped Happy G.?

If I get on I will tell Bob about your screen name!
You know I will....

Wooooooof
