Why under the counter? You don't want to pay taxes?

Send me a case of beer next time you need to call the police or fire department...or drive over a freshly repaired road. A lot of peoples' tax dollars paid for them (and other government stuff).

I know PERSONALLY families that make well over $200k a year, and get away with reporting $25k a year in taxable income. Needless to say they can easily afford some nice Benz's and Bimmers, as well as rediculous houses. But they sure as hell didn't earn their luxury, they are just filthy cheaters. People literally make a career off of this, and in some cases, it's really hard for them to get caught...

personally, it makes me sick. I guess if you're making chump change like something under $30k/year, I don't really care that much. But it's the fockers who *should be* fairly middle class if not for the fact that they cheat on their taxes that **** me off.

That's a very ignorant statement. Its usually people who don't know about taxes who have this type of mentallity. People who say "The government is taking my money, blagh blagh blagh" It's all a game my friend, if you know how to play it taxes are very benificial and can render positive results. I used to think like you and say "F*CK TAXES! I work hard for my money, and Im getting ripped off BLAGH BLAGH BLAGH". I started hanging out with wealthy people and believe me, you can learn alot. You don't produce taxes, your credit is very limited, you can't buy house which are investments to make more money, you can't get lines of credit, and so on. However, knowing how to use YOUR tax money is a major advantage. Believe me, know how to play the game and YOUR money is not lost but rathered invested.

Unless he is going through a divorce where he has to pay alamony(spelling?) and is getting thrown under the bus for child support than maybe i can understand why he wants to get paid under the table. I had a friend who makes $22.00 an hour, by the time he is doing paying all his dues to his EX-WIFE. He is making about $8.00-10.00 an hour. Its not worth it, so he has his ways

Stop paying your taxes, and have no schools, roads all fu*cked up like MEXICO, minimal hospitals, no nice city's (like third world country's). That's the problem with people these day's. Everyone wants to receive but not give in return. Hey, if the government wants to give some to welfare I can give a $hit because at least IM NOT ON WELFARE. I and many AMERICAN's don't have a problem giving taxes. Its usually lower class or uneducated people who do. Not everyone's money goes to welfare, so next time your driving your Z on that nice road, or your son/daughter go to school remember its TAX PAYER's who make that possible.

Uuuuh.....pick strawberries. Seriously though, this is a useless thread. As one of the above posters so expertly outlined, YOU NEED TAXES. Income is what generates taxes....income is also what generates credit.....credit generates loans which generates real estate which generates wealth. Sure, you can get just about ANY amount of money loaned to you these days without proving income, at a pretty decent interest rate too....but....only if you have excellent credit which brings us full circle to taxes. Hanging out with businessmen/entrepreneurs will show you how to make the money and keep a lot of it as well. Oh, and all this bleeding heart bullsh1t about our infastructure crumbleing if we dont pay uncle sam 800% of our income is just ridiculous. We have SO MANY other taxes than just income taxes in this country. You want to know how to really fix the problem, stop giving money to deadbeats who wont get a job. Stop giving money to old people who shouldve made better financial decisions in their youth. Impose stricter pension regulations on ALL of corporate America and let it be a private debt instead of a public one. And for God sakes, stop feeding countries who hate us!!
