Default San Diego hotel question

Hello, I'm going to be spending a week with my family in San Diego and currently have reservations at the Omni hotel. Is this a good area for a family (pregnant wife and a 17mo. old daughter)? Just worried about things like excessive noise and traffic. The hotel's location is pretty good for us location wise though, as it's central to things we want to see and the folks we want to catch up with. Thanks in advance.

675 L Street. Has a bridge connected to the Padres ball park. Guess it might be a rough week with a Padres home stretch scheduled during my stay, but how bad is traffic during games? Is it manageable / reasonable?

well if you're close to the ballpark, there's lots of cops, so safety should be good. traffic will be tough during ballgames.

Traffic around the ballpark is really bad during games, and even worse when there are weekend games. The hotel itself is nice, as like most hotels, the glass is thick, and it tends to keep most of the street noise out of your room. If you were fortunate enough to get a southeast facing room that is high enough, you should be able to watch the games from your room without actually going into the ball park.
Otherwise, you are far enough away from a majority of the clubs and restaurants so as to not have a lot of pedestrian traffic around there when the games are away, so it can be quiet at times outside. Nice area though, hope you enjoy your stay.
