Default Ticket Prices

What would I expect to pay on a ticket for 84 in a 60 zone?

If you had a clean record then:

Too Fast = Traffic school

You can do it on line..

I'm thinking about anywhere from $100-200... but you won't get your license taken away.

Infraction is a lesser charge than misdemeanor, so yes that is good.

Don't worry, you won't get your license taken away.

Thanks guys, your first speeding ticket is a scary one. This labor day weekend just isn't going to good. On Friday night my friend got his STI impounded.

I must be lucky, or smart, or just drive slow...

I'm 23 and no speeding tickets yet.

i think anything over 21 mph over the speed limit is called an "excessive speeding" ticket. i got my first speeding ticket about 5 years ago going 88 on a 60 down big bear and the ticket was about 300 bucks.

I thought it was 25? I don't really car about the cost of the ticket. I just don't want to lose my license? So even though I am 17 I still won't lose it?

dude dont even worry about it. I'm 17 and have had 2 tickets. one for doing 92 in a 70 and one for doing 90 in a 65. Both tickets came out to about $350...kinda ironic...since I drive a 350Z lol. You won't get your licence tooken away. All you do is go and pay your fine, go up to one register and tell them your taking traffic school or whatever, then they give you a deadline for when you need to turn in your traffic school receipt prooving that you actually went to traffic school, then your done. Don't worry bout your licence being tooken away, aint gonna happen. Just relax and BE SAFER NEXT TIME haha...also invest in a radar detector.

Because you took traffic school you didn't get any hike in your insurance rate, huh?

If my kid was 17 and was lucky enough to have a 350z, and managed to get 2 tickets before turning 18, I would give him a nice little civic to drive until he was 25.

Well, I'm just lucky I guess. I'm not going to argue about the whole "teenagers shouldnt be driving a Z" thing, so I'm going to just keep my mouth shut so I don't start a flame war. But, my insurance did go up significantly since I do have 1 point on my licence because I got 2 tickets in a 2 month span. I was only able to make up for one ticket and I had to bite the bullet on the other one.
