Default Any SUV rim gurus??

As some of you may have read in the Off topic section, I recently traded in my Z due to way too many recurrent problems. I purchased an '04 Infiniti FX35 and I absolutely love it!!! Im going down to OC on monday to purchase some bigger rims and tires for my FX. I want to go at least 20" and possibly 22" if they dont look too big on the truck. Knowing that this is a 350z forum, therefore many of you know way more about performance wheels (like me..I had 19" Volk GTCs on my Z) than "bling bling' wheels...I still need some opinions. My FX is Black Obsidian with black leather. I will probably be looking for rims with black painted or powder coated spokes with a polished lip. I really want to keep the whole package, with tires to around $3k or so. Any opinions?? (I believe the bolt pattern is the same as the Z)

Thanks
Brian

stock 20s ... they look great on there.

some iforged senekas or swifts would look good as well.

I have seen 20" axis sevens and they looked horrible on it

20s look too small, go 22 for sure! All 3 of those choices would work. Foose makes really cheap 22s also. My buddy got the 22 inch speedsters for his Armada with tires for less than 3k.

Hey Risk... congratulations on your FX purchase!

Stock FX wheels are 5x114.3 with an offset of 40. All the questions you are asking have been asked before... come visit us at InfinitiFX.org and get to modding! We have a section specifically on Suspension, Rims and Tires. A lot of members have gone from stock 20s to 22s and you can check out pictures etc. here:
http://www.infinitifx.org/phpBB2/viewforum.php?f=18

...and of course anyone else who is interested in the FX platform is welcome too! We're always happy to share thoughts and ideas with our Nissan VQ cousins!

My diamond graphite FX35, dropped with Eibachs and aftermarket 20s -->

Brian - I like a couple of the lowenhart options, up to 22"

http://www.dazzmotorsports.com/wheels_low.asp

Particularly the LC1 in polished lip / black spoke.

This is just my opinion but I would keep it clean. I'm not into the Dub Magazine hip hop scene so I would never go bigger than 20's for any type of truck or SUV. I personally would go with 20" BBS wheels (i.e. RGR's or something similar) that are NOT chromed. Keep it clean. People who really know cars will give you props.

go to www.tirerack.com to see what some rims will look like on the FX. I know they have some wheels with the polished lip and black centers similar to the wheels posted earlier.

Well, I went down to Wheel Warehouse today and my buddy Ceasar hooked me up!! He and I looked at probably about 50 different wheels in the store, and laid at least 10 in front of the truck. I thought that I would like the black/polished lip rims the best, but eneded up with something totally different (the chrome just looked better with all the trim on the truck). I bought some 22x9.5 +40mm Sporzas (pictured below), with Toyo 285/40 in all 4 corners. I also bought some Eibach drop springs which should settle to about 1.5" lower. All stuff is on order right now and I am going to get it hooked up on Tuesday!! Ill post some pics shortly after. Deuce Deuce biatch!!...lol

I'm biased on this matter, since I have 20" iForged black wheels/polished lip. But speaking of the FX35/45, I met a guy with a FX45 running 22" front/rear with black wheels & polished lip (like in the pic). Looked BEAUTIFUL ! The only thing is I'm in favor of more of a 'wider' wheel (than in the pic above) and a wider tire IMO.

Sorry for the poor lighting in the pics...I recently bought a video camera which "also" takes still shots and am still learning it. Here are the first pics of my FX35 dropped on 22s!!
