Default Rear Wiper removal anyone ???

Anyone remove the rear wiper on the Z with any success. I was interested in doing this but don't have the tools or the knowledge to do it. If possible we can have a wiper removal meet and help each other do this mod. I am open to this idea if anyone else is willing to try this. I hear what we need to cover the hole is a Heilman 7/8 black nylon hole plug that can be found at any hardware store....anyone game for this...

Its pretty easy if your rear wiper cooperates with you. It should unscrew from the bolt after you nudge it loose. You will then need to take the plastic off the back of the hatch and remove the motor. You can use a sink hole cover from Home Depot or the black cover you were referring to also.

Ive got some free time this week Ed, swing by my house if you want and Ill help you do it.

Easy, JUst get a sink hole cover 1" and pop it on with automotive adhesive. Just primer and paint and ready to go. Let me know when you want. I have a black one ready if thats your color.

Hey Ed,

I'm supposed to do mine soon. El Guy is going to help me do this since he recently did his. I'm going to dyno the car this Saturday and if I don't end up going to the UCLA vs Cal game maybe we can meet up with JC and get this done.

I did mine, it was pretty easy... on the wiper, near the end, you can pop the cap thing and get access to the screw, take it off, then pop off the plastic, dont be afraid of the popping noises, do some un-screwing and un plug the wire thing, the wiper motor should come loose and you can pull the wiper out, easy! careful not to scratch your paint like I didm lol, GL!
