i hope you guys saw the first edition to know the level of competition.. they ran the first one at horsethief mile out behind willow springs. it is normally a kart course i believe, but they use it for this competition.

there is absolutely no run-off, and there is an insane 1st gear chicane, where 90% of the stiffly sprung cars still hit their bumpstops.

the driver's are professional gt racers... 'monkichi' monabu orido and keiichi tsuchiya (sorry spelling). they will easily attain a better 1st lap time then your best of the day (unless you are a pro driver). they do 1 car sprint time trials, so there is no traffic to hit. there is no way even a seasoned driver will extract the best out of their personal car unless they have driven this course frequently.

1st year results were something like..

1) xs engineering wrx - 450hp - hoosier as304 (i think)
2) comptech supercharged nsx, 3.2L, 400hp- advan a048 or a032
3) 900kg civic eg with k20a swap- r-tires
4) competech supercharged s2000 - 350hp - ohlins suspension - r-tires
5) ae86 hachi with an s2000 engine
6) hasport supercharged k24 civic si
7) vishnu evo - DNF (haha)

- nevertheless it is stiff competition. those were 1st year competitiors... i'm sure some big names will jump in this year.. sp engineering... science of speed... who knows... just have your r-compounds ready

 

I guess that just means ill have someone else drive if they acept me
