Going from Oceanside down to Telegraph Canyon for a canyon run..thats quite a drive though..

 

I'm just concerned about who would be okay with driving down to Oceanside then another trip from there to SD. My main concern is to have a nice place for all of us to park at after the cruise to meet the SD Z drivers and eat!!! Since it is on a Saturday, I would of course like the parking lot to be large with not too many people so we can alll park together. Any ideas in the Oceanside area or the SD area following the cruise along the beach that you suggested?

In Oceanside either the Best Buy parking lot where there is an Applebees and some other resteraunt...or other side of the freeway there is the Albertsons lot where we had the Mossy show.. Once you start getting down towards SD big parking lots become few and far between...I'' talk to the SD guys tongiht and see what we can come up with...

Probably...it is litteraly the first exit on the 78 off the 5....I still am trying to think of a big parking lot area in SD that could hold us....Initially I would say we could go to Hazard Center off Friars. The upper deck of the parking structure is empty ALL the time. Its whereI used to have Sentra meets...Plus its only a small side road away from where the beach cruise would end at...Theres a Trophy's resteraunt there too that we could eat at. I think we put 50 Sentras in that parking lot once...

 

Yup Yup...and this time I will get my camcorder ready to try to capture everyone on film!

LOL I hear you...now that I give it more thought I think Hazard Center is going to work for us the best. I just talked to another SD guy and we mapped out the route we would take...as long as everyone keeps up on the coast (shouldn't be hard it freaking one lane for most of the way) the coast run ends at Genesse. From there we jump on La Jolla Village Drive to the 805...down the 805 and merge onto the 163 for like 2 miles. get off on Friars road...Friars road literally exits right into Hazrd Center...The upper deck of the parking structure is actually at the same level as the enterance... (they built this with like sub levels almost). The far back corner is where we would post up. Its always empty when I roll by. Could easily put 50 cars in there and the ones against the back wall have a nice green background for shots..

Main meet spot will more than likely be in Orange county (possibly the Irvine Spectrum) with a lot of people caravanning from the LA area. The time for the meet will probably be ~9-10:30 with a caravan to a lunch spot where we can all park and quickly checkout each others rides and eat lunch (~11:30-Noon). From there we will take a cruise along the coast and enjoy the rumble of our VQ's and view the view and make it to a final meeting spot in SD and catch dinner and shoot the **** (~130-until whenever)

I think that sounds great. Can you double check directions and post it up from the Best Buy in Oceanside to the Hazard Center (with address just in case someone gets lost)?

I think this is how it should go down:

1)Meet spot in Orange County in AM and Caravan from there to the Best Buy in Oceanside
2)LA/OC/SD all meet and greet at Best Buy in Oceanside
3)All cruise along coast to SD to Hazard center
