Just wanted to tell you about the SD Auto Show which happens to be running somewhat concurrently with the LA Auto Show. I'm not able to go to the LA Auto Show so I went to the SD one instead. Here's the lowdown:

If you want to see this years models, then there are many great dealers and exhibitors there. But, don't expect any future models. Example: Mazda - no RX-8, Infiniti - no FX45. No models beyond 03. There was virtually no aftermarket representation. Overall, I couldn't even stay for longer than an hour or so because I had finished the entire show! Save your $9 and go to the LA one instead.

Ok, it wasn't all bad. But sometimes you expect to be surprised by car companies and see something that is really innovative and new - and the manufacturers didn't deliver (to SD at least).

Finally, I still think the Z stole the show. They had a Blue, Redline, and LeMans. Way hot. A decent crowd at all times.
Also got to see the Aston Martin Vanquish up close. It is a seriously badass car.

Anyway, there is my brief review of the show. LA Auto Show should be much better than this. Hope you guys bring back lots of pictures

 

I'm just about to head down there, but with a free ticket

I don't understand why they decided to go head-to-head with the LA show. We usually get slighted down here anyway, but putting it on at the same time as LA hurts even more.

It would be nice to see some '04 models. Oh well, gets me out of the office for a couple of hours!
