Default Good Southern California Toyota Service Centers

I figured I would try and get some opinions here for my daily driver. I have a 1995 4runner 3vze 4wd. Per the title, are there any good recommendations on service centers in Southern California around the Los Angeles area. I am due for my 60,000 mile service, and according to the manual it needs belt replacements, valve clearance adjustments, idle speed adjustments, and all other stuff that comes with the 60,000 mile territory. I don't want to take it blindingly to just any dealer and have them service it. Can anyone provide any service experiences with dealers? All replies are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I take my 03 Sequoia to South Bay Toyota. Been going there for years since I also had a 96 4Runner. Ask for Harold Young.

Hey everybody:
I'm also looking for a reasonably priced Toyota expert to assist with the restoration/maintenance of certain specialty models (Supercharged MR2, All Trac Celica Turbo, etc.)

From past experiences, I've come to the conclusion that the majority of the (Toyota)dealership service centers really aren't too familiar with some the rarer factory force induced models. In many cases, they do more harm than anything else.

I'm in need of a Toyota mechanic who knows the 3SGTE motor like the back of their hand.

Thanks everybody.

Happy Holidays!

^ Are you on the MR2 forum? If not you should join it. www.mr2oc.com Go there and search for that shop I mentioned earlier, Integrity Auto. Here are some pics of a typical day at that shop:

This is my other car, MR2 w/ Gen3 3SGTE

GReddySetGo:

I haven't spent too much time on mr2oc.com but the Celica All Trac guys always mention that site. (many of those guys have also mentioned a guy named Chris K or something but he's out of state) I'll have to bookmark the site. Also, there will be a SoCal All Trac meet in Irvine in January-if I'm not mistaken the Mr2OC community has already been invitied. If you haven't gotten the memo, check out alltrac.net.

Integrity Auto seems like the type of shop I've been looking for. Are they good peeps? Are they in SoCal?

Thanks again for your response and congrats on your nice SW20.

Yeah, ChrisK is a very experienced and reputable engine builder. I believe he's located on the east coast though. My MR2 is currently down right now, I'm waiting for new paint and an engine build. If its done by the time of the meet though, I'll see you there!

Integrity Auto is a good place, they've done many 3SGTE and 4AG engine builds. They always have a ton of MR2s there. They're located in Pasadena, CA. About 15min NE of LA.

Sweet. Your MR2 will probably be in the low 13's; maybe even hit 12's with fuel upgrades/tuning.

Hopefully, I'll be able to make it to the meet but I might have to work.

I already hit high 12s 12.9@110mph

I'm going with a full build block and head, with fuel and custom GT35R, hoping for 450hp @ the wheels.

You might also try Ara at Eurasian Autosport on Colorado in Pasadena. He's a meticulous mechanic and is in tune with the performance world. He's been involved with rallying for years, and presently does a lot of work for customers who use their cars for track days. Tell him I sent you.

Not a full EMS no. I ran that on a pre-tuned Blitz Access ECU. Plan to go A'PEX-i PFC in the future though.

Very good. It sounds like you're on your way to terrorizing Vettes and AMG Mercs. Good for you. I'd like to reach that point one day.

Do the dudes at Integrity have EMS experience w/the 3SGTE? I'm thinking of going for the AEM EMS if I can catch a group buy or something. I was gonna have some tuning performed at XS Engineering but they're a bit on the pricey side.

Thanks.

Also, thanks for the tip on Eurasian Autosport Scott. I'll check them out. If the guy's into rallying, he may be familiar with the 4WD turbo Celica that I'm restoring.
