Track season is back! Who from SoCal is going? It would be nice to meet some new faces and see some familiar ones.
Who: RacerFactory.com
What: HPDE
Where: Buttonwillow
When: Sat./Sun. February 4-5, 2006
How Much: $175 per day, $325 two day
For those who have never driven with RacerFactory.com, they put on a very fun, safe, and laid back event. They are mostly VW/Audi guys, but any car is welcome. I have run with Redline Track Events, N.A.S.A., PCA, and a few others, and RacerFactoy.com is my favorite group. We are running config #1 CW on Saturday and most likely running config #25 CCW Sunday. More info on this event can be found at www.racerfactory.com

Will do. You can go to www.RacerFactory.com to pre-register. Also, this is Super Bowl weekend so if you don't like football its the perfect weekend to go because there may be a few less cars in attendance

Yes there will be instructors available for the beginner group. The only requirements gearwise is a helmet thats rated SNELL-95 or higher. The car will go through a tech inspection, which most people pass. Here are things that get people on the tech inspection...
Your tires cannot be showing cords
Your wheels have to be torqued down and cannot have any hub play.
Your battery and its connections must be secure.
You cannot have any loose items in the cabin or trunk
If you would feel safe in your Z around the track, chances are it will pass the tech inspection.

Well I just got an email last night from RacerFactory saying that if they don't have 40 pre-registered by tonight at midnight they will have to cancel the event. They only had 16 at the time the email was sent so its not looking good. If you want, pre-register now to help reach that number and if it ends up getting canceled, you will get your money back.

This event has been cancelled by Racer Factory. They need 40 cars to sign up so they can break even and with only 16 pre-registered, they decided to pull the event.
